A unique steakhouse offering an unforgettable culinary experience. The restaurant is located in the center of Budapest, near Andrássy Avenue. The restaurant offers a rich selection of steaks, served on a hot stone. The stone allows the steak to be cooked precisely and deliciously, while maintaining the juiciness of the meat. The steaks at the restaurant come from a variety of meat types, including beef, lamb and pork. The steaks are served with many toppings, such as vegetables, pasta and sauces. Contrary to what we mentioned in some of the reviews, the service in the restaurant is courteous and professional. The waiters help customers choose the perfect steak for them, and provide an explanation of the menu, and the desired method of preparation. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and intimate, pleasant eighties music played in the background. The restaurant is decorated in a modern style, with warm and pleasant lighting. We ordered a mix, and Argentinian meat, and you prepare it exactly to the degree of doneness you want, it was juicy and very tasty. The side dishes were also delicious, and the service was excellent. I strongly recommend the restaurant, despite the relatively high prices (the menu contains an explanation and apology regarding the price due to the increase in raw material prices worldwide).

So firstly, I want to point out that this isn’t just a regular Steakhouse, where you order a Steak, tell the waiter how you want it to be cooked and wait. Rather, it’s a pretty unique experience, where you actually cook it yourself. There are four types of meat, that you can order, which come in different variations(Striploin, Rib-eye, fillet, e.t.c.): Hungarian Gray Cattle, Black Angus, a French breed of cattle that I forgot the name of and a Hungarian breed of pork, that I also forgot the name of. You can also order a side dish or an appetizer(I chose French fries, delicious by the way). After a small amount of time, you are given a tray with, as the name of the restaurant suggest, a Hot rock, an almost or fully raw piece of meat on it and a side dish. The waiter then comes up to you and explains what to do. Basically, you are given a knife and fork, which you need to use to flip and move the steak on the rock. You just need to cut pieces of the steak off, then put those pieces on the rock and after cooking it for the amount of time you think is enough, put it on the plate, or eat it straight away(it will not be too hot, but pretty hot). Our family(3 people) all chose the only Hungarian Gray cattle option, which I believe was a 250 g Striploin and all loved it(I ordered a second one afterwards). I feel like I should mention that the prices were pretty high, but it is still a Steakhouse after all, so this is mostly to be expected.

Exceeded expectations. The steaks was good quality and the chef (me) cooked it to perfection. It melted like butter in your mouth! The burger bun could have been warmed up but was otherwise good. Some comments seem to have complained at the prices, but in reality for this quality steak I don't believe you could find it much cheaper anywhere else.

The place is ridiculous.... 1. there are no chefs working in the kitchen Mirelitt desserts, except for the Túrógmbóc which was made by a hocus pocus with 0 knowledge... mirelitt Aviko side dishes etc.. ;) 2. The place is full of cockroaches :) so bon appetit to everyone. 3. They label everything every day in a meaningless way... they don't even know when and who made it, but they simply serve the guest the ingredients that were made a week ago or pre-prepared and without testing or tasting. :D 4. If you like to sit half a meter apart in a restaurant and eat like that, then go for it..this place is definitely worth the 15% service charge :D 5. I serve unassuming clowns, that's what they imagine themselves to be...they believe it... 6. A 60-year-old man walks in to process the meat, he doesn't even see the numbers on the scale, saying XY grams of Prime or Japanese beef, it won't be that much, I'm just saying... 7. Personally, I say that anyone who can should avoid this place... I could list the many good things about it (if there aren't any) :D I'll tell my colleagues, keep it up..great career :D but if you're looking for a chef and you're afraid that someone will say something to your face because it really shouldn't be like that, then getting offended and blaming the other person for their style is not the solution...that's a good excuse :) This is a profession that neither of you has ever been in at home...

I go, fortunately after a hearty snack, after reading excellent reviews. Last night, once at the table I saw that 250 gram steaks (a small steak) cost from €26 upwards (around 10 to 15 thousand forints!!!). I opt for the goulash, in the name of which I get a carrot broth with 5% meat + a basket with 2 slices of bread (a shame). You pay for the additional bread as an extra (everything is starting to have a plucking coherence). A seasoned baked potato and a beer. The (obviously) obligatory 12% tip but at least the wait staff was polite. However, with €100 I think a couple can manage to have a normal dinner in this non-chic place. Elsewhere I found much better at fair prices.

We met him by chance on our way back from a night tour of the city. We ordered an onion soup that was very good and some barbecue wings, which came accompanied by exquisite homemade sauce. Great service from the waiters. Especially Samanta, who splashed what she knew about Spanish to make us feel more comfortable if we could. And also the music very good! Quite a hit.

We had dinner in this central steakhouse because it was one minute from the hotel and we had just arrived. Among the various options on the menu we chose meat, which is presented on stone so you can choose the cooking (as it continues to cook while you eat it). We had an Argentine angus and a venison, both with a side of chips and sauces, and two beers. The quality of the meat is good, and for this reason the price paid is high (135€ in two) for two portions not large. You pay for the quality of the meat and the type of service.

A great restaurant , a unique experience to be able to cook to your own preference, very friendly staff and attentive, our waitress Vivien was so good with us and checked we were okay with cooking/ anything else we needed. We came here for my birthday meal and i’d definitely recommend 😚 I can see why they have so many awards on the wall and a full house!

We came here on our first day in Budapest and it was such a lovely meal. I had the T-bone steak and it was spectacular. Norbi our waiter was so helpful telling us about the different cuts of steaks and helping us with the hot stone. The lava cake for dessert was delicious also. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Great experience . We ordered the steak which comes on its own lava stone. The stone is heated to allow you to cook your own steak on the stone in front of you to your own liking. Anita was our waitress and she was amazing. She showed us how to use the stones to ensure our steak was cooked to perfection. She was incredibly attentive making the experience all the more special. I have eaten steak all over thd world and this was without the best i have had.

I am always willing to pay whatever for a steak but this place is over priced. The first thing is the smell that is extremely overwhelming and is disturbing when trying to enjoy you’re meal. The food came out about 5 minutes after ordering it which is never a good sign, and I could tell by the taste of the mash that it was not fresh and seemed like it had been heated up. Personally the steak was overly seasoned and ruined the taste of the steak- me and my partner both got the Argentinian tenderloin steak. It would’ve been more enjoyable if the steak was cut up abit, you spend longer cutting it then eating it. The steak soon became dry from cooking for too long and it felt rushed. When paying for the bill, we put the money in the bill book and the waiter came over a second later to count the money out on the table infront of us which to me seemed rude. 12% service charge for not the best service. I wouldn’t recommend and would not return.

Hi there, visiting the hot stone in Budapest was a very pleasant experience! The service was super nice and used fluent English. The meals were served really fast and were extremely tasty and also pretty fancy. We also recommend getting the local drinks - cider and beer had such a colourful taste!

Went for dinner during our long weekend in Budapest and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip (which is saying a lot). The concept and the atmosphere was excellent. Not too fancy, and over complicated. It was a chilled and fun vibe. Lots of different different steak options and the staff were more than happy to explain our options. Food came really quickly and our server showed us exactly how to cook our steak on the hot stones properly and then left us to enjoy it. The quality of the food was unmatched, very fresh and good sized portions. Cost wise, it is not a cheap place to have dinner, however you get what you pay for and definitely a treat to have. Our server Adriann, looked after us all night. Suggested good beers for us to try, showed us how to cook our steaks and also recommended that we try the Hungarian drink Palinka. She was fab and made sure we had everything we wanted and more. The rest of the staff were also very helpful and welcoming. Do not leave Budapest without trying this place!

This place is amazing, we were looking for a late night snack, all others shops only sold drinks because it was late, but these people let us in to eat. We decided to quickly go for something easy to minimize the time there so that they could close when they were supposed to. (staff needs to go home to). So we ordered the black angus burger. NO REGRETS! It is the best burger I've had in a while! The waiter Szamira gave us the BEST service we've had on this small vacation, she was absolutely 10/10, in addition to be really smooth with her job she gave us a lot of tips about Budapest and we discussed going back for another meal just to have her as a waiter so we can talk more. it was better than expected!
