I first came across Jardin when I walked past and saw their cocktail menu was full of funny looking drinks. Once I did my research, it seemed as if the main gripe people had was the price... But me and my girlfriend decided to ignore this and give it a try.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by David (who we assume is the owner) and his bartenders who were nothing but accommodating during our stay. We had five very strong drinks, a free shot, a free farewell shot of tequila with David, and a lovely postcard that thanked me and my girlfriend for visiting. The total cost? Around £45.
For that price in London (where we are from and probably applicable to a lot of English tourists) you would be lucky to get two or three cocktails that were the same standard as the ones we had that night. It seems that those with an issue with the price are either locals or those unwilling to spend a little bit more for an amazing and personable experience. Since the area is fairly touristy anyway, I imagine those visiting the area would have a bit more money to splash on a night out.
As a journalist, I often get invited to different bars and clubs to try them out but none compares to the service and high standard we experienced at Jardin. We will definitely return and I'd certainly recommend you ask about the cookies they have specially baked for their bar as you might be lucky and get to try one for free!
If I had to be critical, the kung fu panda cocktail is made with a jalapeno syrup which can creep up on you so avoid that if you dislike spicyness in your cocktail.

Visited this bar whilst on a weekend away with my partner. Immediately intrigued by the more unique cocktails in more novelty cups. Only planned on having one drink as the prices are a bit higher than bars in the area, however the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and helped us with our drinks choices, and even made my partner a drink to his taste, that wasn’t on the menu. We loved the calm and friendly atmosphere so much that we stayed for a few more rounds, and also tried some of the tapas they had to offer. As mentioned, more pricey than other bars, but the quality of the drinks and the service made the cost worth it. Highly recommend if ever in the area.

The drinks, food, atmosphere and service were all phenomenal. My partner and I entered only wanting to stay for one round, but three rounds later we decided to instead stay for tapas. And boy was the tapas fantastic. We both had their signature cheesy potato dish, and believe me when I say I haven't had a creamier, softer and more flavourful experience ever. The staff were amazing. Daniella, Akbar and Louis (I think that's his name but it could be escaping me) were all great. They are all so talented and knowledgeable, they ask you what sort of drink you might like and concoct you a personal cocktail that is always brilliant. Overall the experience was second to none and I can't wait to visit again, perhaps tomorrow.

Came in with high expectations, just to realize food and cocktails are priced on the high side but unfortunately without the quality the back this pricing up. The food we ordered (4 different dishes) was extremely salty and unbalanced with flavors. It didn’t taste good (to our palette). The drinks were OK at best. Despite sitting on the bar, almost zero attention and interaction with the barman. Overall the experience wasn’t good. When asked about everything at the end, we spoke about our disappointment and the staff removed all the food from our bill, it was 4-5 dishes. So clearly they care and wanted to improve the situation. I hope that with this good attitude they will also be able to polish their kitchen service and the bar experience overall. With so many positive reviews people posted, I can’t say if it was just a bad day or exaggerated expectations from our side, but for us it’s just wasn’t good.

Best bar we went to during our stay in Budapest. Small bar and they are willing to turn people away when it gets full, absolutely great decision stops it being overcrowded and the excellent service can stay that way. Drink price is not extortionate, expect to pay for the excellent setting and drinks. Music level to great atmosphere without interfering with a great time.

Our waiter Daniela was absolutely amazing! There was a group of 8 of us and she remembered all of our orders without writing them down and continuously checked if the table was happy with everything. The service and food was impeccable, we revived welcome shots and desert on the house! The interior decoration was also amazing. Highly recommend!

My husband and I came into this place by chance to have an aperitif and something to eat.
I can't eat dairy products so when I see that dishes with the wording "vegan option" are available on the menu I prefer to be on the safe side and opt for those.
The waitress Réka comes to us, we order two cocktails and a portion of potatoes with spicy sauce to share, specifying that we want the vegan option... she tells us with a toothy smile: "don't worry, these are vegan"... I'm already suspicious because on the menu the normal option includes cream cheese..
After a few minutes the potatoes arrive seasoned with a quintal of mascarpone cream. I get nervous about the lack of attention and superficiality of the waitress, my husband points out the mistake to the owner of the restaurant who, apologizing, tells us that he would have prepared the potatoes immediately with only the spicy sauce and that he would not have made us pay the cost. wrong dish (which my husband could have eaten since he has no intolerances).
Reka comes back to us apologizing and saying that it was her mistake, the courage of this girl who a few minutes later returns to our table makes me smile, asking us to leave a review on trip advisor and leaving us a note with her name written!!!
In any case, the matter would have ended here if it weren't for the fact that once we paid and left the restaurant we found that the plate of potatoes was double charged!!
I honestly felt cheated, in addition to the damage I also have to pay double for your mistake??!! Also, what would have happened if a lactose allergic person had trusted and eaten the potatoes???!! Customer requests should not be underestimated, EVER.
Too bad about the service because the place, the music and the quality of the cocktails deserved it.

Jardín sticks out like a sore thumb in Gozsdu Passzáz where many of the young people visiting Budapest congregate for cheap drinks and clubs.
Jardín on the other hand doesn’t have the cheapest cocktails in Budapest, nor does it claim to. The cocktail menu is vast with Jardín having their own list of ‘signature’ cocktails along with classics. We were also assured anything not on the menu would also be catered for.
I ordered an off-menu Hugo Spritz and my girlfriend opted for a ‘Paparazzi’. The Paparazzi came in a camera lens which was a quirky touch and we enjoyed both our cocktails.
Jardín make good cocktails, whether you opt for a classic or one of their own novel creations. The cocktail bar feels a bit out of place in its location but the service was attentive and the cocktails were of a high quality.

Reka gave us great service and the vibe and music of the place were great !
The person in charge was a very nice man and kept on checking up on us if we like what we ordered and if we’re missing something.
Prices are fair, we will come back tomorrow for sure !

Returning to Jardín, nestled in the energetic Gozsdu Udvar of Budapest, after two years, felt like rediscovering a favorite song. In fact, back then it was the music —a very specific track by Ibrahim Maalouf — that first pulled us into this cocktail joint. And the bar has held on to its knack for an eclectic playlist, a detail that doesn’t just fill the space but adds to its vibrant character. I’m pleased to say, the music remains a standout feature -- It’s the kind of place where the soundtrack has people dancing in the doorway, caught up in the moment as they pass by.
The drinks are thoughtfully crafted and varied as ever. After sampling some of this season's drink lineup, I can still say that Jardín's signature creations are, to use language that I'm used to, well-designed. And no, I don't mean visually (although yes, some are also visually striking), it's that they manage to have a structure, to have a background, content, accents and details. And sure, a cocktail served in a miniature bathtub might read like touch too whimsical, or perhaps too novel, or trying too hard for originality to some, but somehow here even that just works.
Engagement is key, and that's where the staff shines. This time, it was our bartender, Parsa, friendly and seemingly as skilled in conversation as he was in his craft. He knew just what to recommend, and his choices were a perfect match for our tastes.
While the prices are a notch above average, what you’re paying for goes beyond what's in the glass. It’s the ambiance, the music, the service, and yes, maybe even the drink in a toy bathtub, that come together to create value. Jardín isn’t just selling drinks; it’s curating an experience —one that, in my view, justifies the cost. If that’s not your scene, then Jardín might not be your bar, but it feels like a place that knows its worth and delivers accordingly.
I have no choice but to leave it five stars, and to look forward to next time.

Fun place with good music and a flawless service. The waitress (Maral) was an absolute delight. Gave us good recommendation based on our preferred flavors and kept always attention if we needed something.
The quality and presentation of the drinks are a 10/10.
We are coming back tomorrow for more!

Small but lovely cocktails bar. Now you do pay more than many places but they were good, the ambience was perfect, staff attentive especially Alla with great advice. We had a family age range from 20 to 70 and the background music was perfect, so good we stayed for second drink.
We did have a couple of tapas which again were a little expensive but beautiful dishes perfect as a side to our cocktails.

This cocktail bar is a must visit whilst in Budapest, super glad we found it. Inside is small but beautifully decorated (excellent for the gram!). We tried the majority of the menu and the cocktails are delicious with really cool themed cups.
Service was 10/10 and all the staff couldn’t do enough for you especially the man on front of house.
Music was excellent and vibe was great.
We ordered some food which was also amazing!
Don’t leave Budapest without visiting this place!

Valeriia is a really professional, nice, kind and knowledgable waitress / hostess. From the time we approached the bar she seated us, recommended food we liked and drinks we wanted. She also ordered a cocktail which wasn't on the menu (Boulevardier) and kept a casual banter throughout our time at the bar. From a professional point of view, I am glad I can say she's one of the best hostesses I've had a pleasure of being served in my life and she is worthy of a 5 star hotel / restaurant level of service. Any kind of establishment would be lucky to have her on their team.

Gorgeous little cocktail place with very attentive friendly staff and a great music selection.
Mukhtaor and Parsa were very helpful and made cocktails for us based on our preferred taste. The snacks come from the tapas next door (as they are part of the same company) and were as amazing as the cocktails. They were very understanding and accommodating to allergies and diet restrictions. Wish we were staying longer so we could go back!
