Perfect romantic place for cocktails serenaded by violins and Buda castle as the backdrop! Highly recommended to unwind after a tiring walk.

At the end of our visit to Budapest we wanted to sit in one of the terraces in front of the Danube and enjoy the beautiful view of the castle on the Buda side, have some wine and hors d'oeuvre. We wanted white wine and...the list had only three but the only one available was the one with the highest price. We ordered a bottle and and some duck liver pate. Both were not worth what we paid. Located on the river amongst a number of restaurants, Panorama Terasse is lovely with great views, local musician’s wondering amongst the customers and solid food. Compared to Dubarry next door, the food and service are a little light on and need a little improvement. If...you are going to try one, try Dubarry. We had the Steak and Goose Liver and it was nice although the good liver was very small compared to the photo. The service was adequate and quaint.More

Very courteous staff and excellent food. I had the schnitzel twice (during separate visits). Take your time here and relax and enjoy. Great place and a must for anyone travelling to Budapest.

Was not expecting it to be good reading the reviews . However, as the place was rather empty on Tuesday 2 PM . Service was ok . Food Good , drinks too . Price rather expensive

The view is probably the best thing about this restaurant. Schnitzel & carbonara were good enough, presentation lacking. Wine not the best. Service was brusque. They did have live violin music which contributed to the romantic ambience of the Danube views.

The view is great, but the service is mediocre and the food is defrosted. And it is quite expensive. Don’t try it, trust the reviews.

My wife and I had been walking along the river and decided on a drink and a dessert.. We asked a waiter at this tourist trap if we could take a table that was open for drinks. He waved us over. A few minutes later...another waiter came over and said we couldn’t sit at that table if we were not having dinner and we need to change to a table further back from the sidewalk. We moved and then ordered a wine, a beer, and strudel. The drinks came and we sipped them...for about 20 minutes with no strudel. We finally finished the drinks and sat there for another ten minutes with empty glasses as we were ignored by the waiters. He turned away every time we would try to call him over. Finally he came over and told us rudely that they were out of strudel. It took them 40 minutes to tell us that! And never an offer of a drink refill or anything else. We paid our bill and left. They made it pretty clear that our money wasn’t welcome there. Had they been nice with good service, I probably would have spent quite a bit on several rounds of drinks. Horrible overpriced tourist trap!More

Initially all seemed to be fine and the view across the Danube was amazing. Unfortunately the service was very poor considering the prices. The food was good but when our bill came the waiter said our card was declined and we needed to pay cash....As my husband took a while finding an ATM, another waiter came along and said the transaction had gone through after all .....makes you wonder what’s going on at this place ?? Lots of reviews say this restaurant is a tourist trap and I must say, I’m inclined to agree.More

Stopped here after a lot of walking had a couple of cocktails, the service was very good with a good atmosphere and perfect spot for people watching

My husband and I came across Panorama restaurant on our way up to visit citadella the lady who looks over buda and pest we stipend there for breakfast and we're so impressed with the service and meal, we came back for our evening meal, desert...and coffee while watching the sunset over the Danube.More
