The fabulous food and service with so much warmth and smile does all the wonders here. Amazingly done up interiors. Even vegetarian food was so delicious, and some amazing Hungarian wines. Thumbs up!

This place is terrible scam, don’t go in there and don’t talk to “innocent” girls looking for help or a company as they will talk you into drinking without looking in menu and try to make you pay extremely overpriced drinks..

They scam you, it is a tourist trap! Avoid this bar ! They force you buy a lot of drinks, you don't want, and finally they overprice everything.

Me and a friend were looking to go in when two women waiting outside(not very attractive may I add) were selling the ruse of "being in the city for the first time". They asked if we wanted to grab drinks, this was when I realised...what was going on, but I thought I'd entertain knowing I wasn't going to buy the ladies their drinks. We enter to an empty pub, with just a group of 4 men who were smoking(probably there to act as bullies in case you kick up a fuss on the whole scam). The ladies suddenly order drinks on our behalf, a local beer and shots(unknown to us), which we drink as fast as we could, swiftly asking for the bill. Anyway, the bill comes and we're slapped in the face with a 47000 florint bill, absolute extortion. We make it clear how annoyed we are at the prices and make it known we aren't paying the drink for the ladies. So we pay 12000 each, which still annoyed me, but this seems lucky in regards to the prices others have identified they paid(upwards of £500). We left quickly but with a bitter taste left on the tongue, especially the fact that it had been a pleasant trip up to that point. Remember always ask for a menu and if something seems to good to be true, it probably is. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!More

We stayed at a hotel very nearby, two couples and just popped in on our way back to our hotel after a days sightseeing for a drink. We were not enticed in by anyone, we just noticed and pub sign and went in. My partner...and daughter in law needed the toilet so while they were there my partners son and I had a look at the menus that had been thrust at us by a woman. We were also told where to sit right under a speaker blaring out music. I looked around to find the woman who'd seated us to request a different table but couldn't see her, meanwhile my step son had had a look at the menu. The prices were absolutely extortionate. We got our coats on, collected our partners from the toilets and left sharpish. YOU NEED TO AVOID THIS PLACE!More

This is the lowest type of trap. Girls will flirt with you on the street near that place and ask you to join them for a drink that will cost you 300 euros. We figured it out pretty quickly and left with paying much less....Stay AWAY and warn everyone you know that goes to Budapest. Worst tourists trap and should be considered criminal felony..More

Two girls walks in the street (which is the most popular tourist street in town) fishing for tourists, mainly for a single man. They recommend to have a drink with them. There are no price list, so at the end they force you pay a...fortune (ie. 500 EUR) for two glass of wine and a beer. If you do not pay, two big guys from the staff "accompanies'" you to the ATM near the restaurant to get some cash.More

Absolute scam. Stupidly went in out of curiosity, man outside showed us down some windy stairs and shuffled us into a bistro bar. They also charge to use their toilets. The barman asked what we wanted, we asked for 2 local beers. We insisted on...paying at the bar, he wanted us to sit down and he would bring the drinks over and we'd pay later. So pleased we didn't. After messing about on the till for ages, he finally rang in 4,100 HUF. We paid, clearly been had over a barrel, drank the beers and then quizzed why he had over charged us from the menu that was sitting on the table...showing 1,800 HUF per beer (still utterly horrendous)....he said it was a service charge. Such a shame that tourists always end up getting scammed. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. Go to the 'Ruin Bars' in the Jewish Quarter instead. They are amazing and the beer is 600 HUF a pint...More
