It's hard to find a spot in Budapest that feels like an old-school Hungarian joint, but this does. No cool owners doing food trucks here, just goulash and other tasty traditional fare.

Excellent food, quick and polite service, interesting design, intimate quiet atmosphere. Crispy goose leg with latkes: never had anywhere as good as here.

Absolutely delicious! The restaurant is very small and was very quiet when we were there (just three other groups- one speaking Hungarian, one French and one English) but the food is absolutely amazing. I had one of the best goulash soups that I've ever had and the dumplings were things of dreams- dense yet fluffy, rich and full of substance,... More

The restaurant has an intimate feeling despite it having ample seating. Food was delicious and service was great. Get the brownie!

We ate here the best solet in the town. The meal was very good and taste. The service was nice, however we had to wait for the main course a little bit more than the average but We were not disappointed. The meal was very good every time.

My husband and I absolutely loved this restaurant. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a second time before we left town. It's tucked in an adorable neighborhood and the staff are lovely. We highly recommend this restaurant. A must do while in Budapest.

I really have had a wonderful lunch in this Jewish Hungarian trattoria. I ordered their solet, which is a dish made of beans baked for many hours topped with smoked meats, goose leg and goose neck. It was one of the most delicious dishes I have had in a long time. Do not hesitate to come to this place. You... More

We went here because I wanted to try Chicken Paprika and it was well reviewed on here and another food blog. But the atmosphere was horrible. I wish we had left before we ordered. It was a Friday night and there were only 2 other tables sat at 9:20pm. I wanted to sit at a cozy table but the server... More

We had a fabulous dinner here, just round the corner from our B&B, in a traditional style restaurant where we experienced a menu from a Jewish kitchen. I had a goose liver and egg starter followed by cholent with home smoked meats. Cholent is a bean stew prepared in advance, kept on a low heat and traditionally served for lunch... More

This is a cute little restaurant with a homey atmosphere on a quiet side street that you'd never find unless you were looking for it. The service was really good and even though we showed up fairly close to closing, they let us come in and never rushed us. The food was fantastic. Top picks are the goulash, the chicken... More
