We ordered three grilled sandwiches that we had to wait 35 mins for, when we got them our plates smelled like wet dog. When we told the waiters they were rude and just said that the plates were clean. One of the sandwiches had camembert...but the whole sandwich just smelled like hair dye, it was such a terrible and strong smell - and not the smell of camembert. Again, we told the waiters who just denied it. They either need to check their sense of smell or shape up their customer service. I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone!More

My prior purpose for visiting the place on a rainy morning might have been to not get soaked to the skin, but as a spin-off I ended up with a delicious breakfast. Both the cappuccino and the scrambled eggs were served by a very nice...waitress who did not stop smiling to the other clients, either, despite the unfriendly weather. I have only been there once so it might as well have been a coincidence, but hearing some Italian words from two guests really made me forget about the dull weather and feel like I really am in an Italian piazza. :)More

Just was there... The waiter started to clean in front of me the show window with open cakes with a spray for cleaning windows!!! And all the aerosol was going to the glass and cakes!!!!! I used to buy some cakes and ice cream here...for my child. Now -never again!!! If they are so lazy to take out the cakes before cleaning the glass with cakes in front of their client, then this tells a lot to me.More

I come here whenever I'm in Budapest; it's nearby and a great place for a fagyi, a cake or a light meal. Tables outside have a view of the pretty Ferenc tér. Service is good and prompt, and the atmosphere just right for meeting friends,...websurfing or reading or watching the world go by. Since one of my favourite poets- József Attila- lived here. I like to reread his work over a palinka and a coffee. Here an example from "by the Danube": I sat on the lowest steps of the embankment, and watched the melon rind float away. In deep reflection I barely heard the chatter of the ripples listening to the depths. As if from my heart they flow; troubled, wise and great: the DanubeMore

Great little place for a snack or as we used it "a night cap". Laslo the barman was great, knowledgable and friendly. Coffees and wine are excellent and very reasonable. Godd mix of locals and the odd tourist (yep thats us the odd tourist:)
