All reviews quinoa risotto goulash steak paprikash bread pork small museum museum downstairs retro bar our waiter blue cheese international cuisine great wine list an early dinner nice restaurant quality of food outdoor seating
the place looks nice but the stuff it's a little bit clumsy and for those who really love food isn't the best place
and the prices are very high for what they offer
it looks nice in the pics but not amazing
Couldn’t have asked for better service! The meat was tasty but my order was not done perfectly and it’s a bit pricey. I want to especially commend the Sommelier who was knowledgeable, friendly and so enthusiastic about Hungary. We learned so much and loved the...lesson about different types of Hungarian wine, grapes and culture. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you for one of the best dining experiences we had in Budapest!More
My wife and I stopped here for drinks and were severely disappointed with the service. I found the drinks to be extremely expensive for Budapest and was unimpressed though my wife did enjoy her cocktail. You can easily find a better value bar and literally...any other bar will have better service.More
Visited this evening,it was our 1st night & we wanted somewhere local for this evening due to a long day traveling so we asked for a recommendation at our hotel, all the staff whom served us spoke very good English & were very pleasant & friendly,we...had a mixed meat & cheese starter to share, followed by mains of Hungarian stew, rib eye steak & chips,& a chicken dish with blue cheese potato which was just ok,I found the chicken dry & underneath the grilled cheese topping was just sliced cheddar cheese & hardly any blue cheese as stated, the steak & the stew were better meals, the fruit beer was delicious really different,& the dark beer was good, didn’t order puddings, our bill was just over 28000 huf which I think is just over £70 for 1 starter,3 mains,2 beers & water,& service charge, nice cosy restaurant with lovely staff.More
We came here for dinner with a large group. It was our first night in Budapest and we wanted to try Hungarian food. We ordered the set menu which included goulash, a meat and potato main course, and traditional dessert. The restaurant has antique vine...making apparatuses throughout. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and the server was attentive. Would eat here again.More

Visited Urban Betyar for dinner last night, nice modern restaurant, great selection on menu, vast wine and drinks list. Both me and my husband ordered steak, it was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The staff here were very friendly and helpful especially our waiter...Joci. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, so much so we've booked again for this evening!More

This place has it all. Not many places can combine excellent food, service, atmosphere, wine and experience! But this place has got all of that.
The in house sommelier is an expert in Hungarian wines and made an excellent recommendation. All the food we enjoyed...was of excellent quality and flavor!! Fresh ingredients with authentic Hungarian style twist made everything really enjoyable!!
Our waiter offered excellent service and was very helpful with the menu which allowed us to enjoy a variety of foods through-out our evening!!

The place itself is very pleasant, a mixture of a restaurant and wine shop , bar and museum for country life. The tables are set with care and it is perfect to meet friends or business colleagues. But then the food is mediocre to say...the least, my so called mangalika pork was horrible, meat full of fat and floating in a greasy sauce, my friends gulash was equally fat and greasy, the Unicum tartlets just average. Coffee was okay. Service was okay.More
