the restaurant is inconspicuous from the outside, located a little distance from the center towards the island. My wife and I visited twice at lunch. It turned out to be quite comfortable, delicious, cozy and basic at a reasonable price. The day menu includes soup,...main course, salad and dessert. And you can take the supplement. Pleasant waiters who speak English, restaurant design in wood, retro, present mainly local older people. The dishes are simple but delicious. Moreover, there is a large selection of fairly good wines. For us two lunch menus + 2 glasses of wine = 7000-8000 forints. I recommend to visit.More

Was advised by our nearby Hilton hotel to make the short walk here. Was not disappointed. Small comfy place, very friendly service and they had a couple guys playing and singing live music. My first experience with real Hungarian food and loved it. We started...with the grilled sausages and potato cake which was awesome. I had the veal paprikash with noodles and it was unreal good. Good Hungarian draft pilsner available and I happily had several. I would go here again anytime I had the chance.More

A small restaurant recommended to us for some authentic Hungarian food. Loved this small restaurant, friendly and attentive service. Live music on the piano. Food was delicious and good portions in a restaurant with a story and history. Also great value for money.More

We were recommended to visit by the hotel. It serves local cuisine which is very good. The service is great but what makes it is the atmosphere with the unusual decor and the live music from a pianist and violinist. It lends to a very...relaxed atmosphere with the music not overbearing.More

Yes, definitely try and reserve. Your concierge will do so for you. Depending on where you are staying, I would recommend a taxi there and back.

You're welcome! You can pay with credit card almost everywhere in Budapest. There are also many change offices that don't charge commission in case you do need some cash.
