Visited here for boozy lunch with my wife. Beautiful setting overlooking the castle with the occasional old style tram passing by. Only had the Hungarian cheese platter which was small portions of cheese with a lot of bread. Very nice though. Great service with friendly...More

We ate outdoors on a summer evening, and got to watch the pedestrians walk past along the river front. We had some decent Hungarian food, the service was friendly and efficient, and there was a roving trio (violin, accordion, bass) playing all sorts of music...More

This excellent restaurant is right next to the Danube. We chanced upon it, as our hotel is nearby. What I find! We ate dinner outside (The only way to go in warm weather) and watched as the people passed by and the sun set behind...More

Enjoyed our first meal there so much that we went back for our last meal in Budapest. Our waiter on the first night was excellent but I wasn’t very pleased with the waiter on the second night. I had ordered a red wine to have...More

Lunch on the terrace with tall glasses of cold minted soft drinks ; Great service, the water-misted fans helped cool the intense heat.

We enjoyed the good food at Dunacorso on Saturday, July 28. The pork ribs are incredible! If they are on the menu, order them. I would have paid extra for the chef's recipe for that sauce! The Hortoboagyi pancake filled with shredded chicken was a...More

Pleasant but busy staff at this riverside restaurant. We sat outside and mulled over the menu while sipping our way through a bottle of nice local rosé. Nice quality food and reasonable prices. It was a toss up between a standard dessert or an ice...More

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention

Our restaurant is located in the heart of the city centre, on Vigadó Square, looking on Duna-korzó. This wonderful walking path along the Danube on the Pest side has always been a favourite meeting and walking place for people and there has always been a coffe-house or a restaurant on the site of our venue ever since the 1870’s. Duna Corso restaurant is run by the same family for more than 40 years. Now it is already the third generation working here, thinking over and recreating traditional recipes. The nostalgic old and the reformed new tastes of Hungarian cuisine combined with our own gastronomic traditions determine the selection on the menu. From early spring till late autumn we welcome our guests on one of the most wonderful, panoramic terraces whereas during winter time we await them with our classic and modern rooms. In the evenings the culinary experience is completed by live music. In 2015 we added a confectionary to our restaurant.
