Terrific quiet café on the first floor of the cathedral-like market hall on Buda’s Batthyany tér. I only had a (very good) muffin with my coffee, but they also do delicious-looking breakfasts.

Coffee without tourists

The coffee was delicious! In fact, I bought a variety pack of K cups for my Nespresso machine at home. The view was great! I just wish they had more breakfast offerings.

A nice coffeeshop

Of you want to have a quick and good tea/coffee. Their coffee is better and there are plenty of interesting and innovative choices of food for side dishes. A bit expensive though.

Bagel & cappucino

Excellent mood, fantastic bagels with a sent of freshly made cappucino. We ordered a croissant with honey and the butter looks like a rose! I love this place.

Amazing cafe

Found this place by accident (at a stop on the open top bus tours - no 19 I think) but what a find! Coffee and cake both amazing, and so cheap. A ‘flat white’ coffee exactly how it should be, and a salted caramel peanut...cheesecake to die for.More

Excellent coffee and croissant in a lovely historic building

Steamhouse Cafe is in a historic building, with lofty ceilings and a tall clerestory running the length of the building (it felt like dining in a Victorian-era train station). I stopped in for a cappuccino (hot, freshly brewed from freshly-ground beans with a little design...on top) and a croissant (served warm, flaky, went well with fruit preserves). Always good!

I love this place. It’s by a main metro stop but is always quiet. I’ve had a few things here on different trips. Always really good. The kind of beans rotate....So you always get something different. :) love and will miss this place when we...move.More

Mellow mood

Really good coffee with wide selection. Also offer pretty good breakfast. Staff is extremely nice. It has a really good atmosphere and vibe with great view.

Breakfast

We went here for breakfast one day and the food was okay, food portions are a bit small but you can get a quite good breakfast deal and the coffee is good. Staff is very friendly

Simply excellent

Just happened to come into the stunning precinct out of the rain and stopped off at this lovely cafe. Stunning window seat overlooking the Danube and the Parliament building. Salmon and eggs with salad was delicious as was the craft beer. Really nice service as...well, didn’t expect it to be so good. Well worth a visit if you’re in this area.More
