The restaurant has one of the most amazing gardens out of the restaurants in Budapest. If the food and beer could be a bit better quality this place would be one of the best restaurants in Buda. On their menu they have many-many dishes that for sure they cannot prepare freshly. The halaszlé and the turos csusza are nice but... More

... this was a place to go to, but now.... well, how can start without being too brutal ? Eight of us went for lunch, age range 17-93. We were seated in a shaded part of the garden of the restaurant. The service was provided without a smile, as if we were an annoyance, rather than guests. The portions were... More

I don't understand the negative comments here, this is a fine classic fish restaurant. Their tiszai fish soup is just like the way my family used to do it on Szentes. I have also tried a catfish in pepper crust, it was also good and a huge portion. If you want fine dining, this is not your place. If you... More

I like to try local foods and when the waiter told me about their beef gulash soup I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised. We also went back the next day for their fish soup but they did not have it. My wife and I have told lots of people to go there when in Budapest. I have tried to... More

We have heard about this restaurant last year in Szilvasvarad from a couple when we were participating on the truffle hunting event there. They mentioned that "you cannot say that you ate a proper fish soup until you taste it here". So we decided to go this time to celebrate :) Even though this restaurant looks like far away from... Our hosts took us here for our last dinner in Budapest. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. I got the goose leg, which was a little tough and difficult to eat, but tasty (and the potatoes that came with it were EXCELLENT). My boyfriend ate the wild boar stew and really enjoyed it. They have a big menu with lots... More

I had grilled catfish with some salads in this restaurant. The food was very good, the only problem was the quite long waiting time. We had to wait for more than 1 hour. I recommend this restaurant!

The correct name is Ezustponty (Silver bass). I have been here a couple of times and while we had some good Fishermens' Soup (halaszle) the service is inconsistent at times... On good days they deserve a 4 rating on bad days only a three... If you use public transportation only then this place is easy to access even if it... More

This small restaurant is convenient for the families with small children in summer time. There is a small playground for the kids.
