We went here for a lunch and the food was average and little bit unhealthy - there was a lot of oil in it. That is not my kind of food. I ate Hungarian food before and it was delicious. But not at this restaurant.

First-day I went to Balaton ètterem the next day to Halàszkert. Because of my dissatisfaction with the dishes I had at Balaton ètterem, next day I tried Halászkert. I ordered the same dishes at Halászkert. I loved what I got in a better price and...with good service. So, go to Halàszkert instead of Balaton ètterem.More

This could have been a lovely meal with a great view on the lake but was unfortunately spoiled by poor service. First bad sign was when the waiter shrugged his shoulders when we asked him if other diners could keep their dog to their table...and not let it roam around other tables. We then had issues ordering. My mum's soup never arrived and we didn't manage to order any water because the waiter could not understand what the word meant (I have learnt to say this in Hungarian now!). The meat was delicious but undercooked and so half of it I had to leave. I was not asked how well done I wanted it. The waiter then avoided us on another occasion and so we didn't manage to order any more wine. He then didn't offer us any deserts which we were really looking forward to. In the end I went inside to get the bill and pay because we were really keen to go after this. This could really be a wonderful restaurant with a lovely view to the lake but unfortunately due to the poor service we would not go back or recommend it to anyone. The owner of this business might wish to consider the scale of the damage done by a single waiter not only to the establishment's reputation but to its finances as well. We were basically unable to order a total of 3 more items that we wanted to because of the waiter's inattention. We don't think that English language skills is the only problem here. We saw other Hungarian customers' orders get mixed up. Genuine lack of attention and poor organisation are the issues here. If the waiter doesn't understand English-speaking customers he could easily get help from another member of staff if there is the will to offer a good customer service.More

Nice location, decent food and good wine service, but the menu was quite limited in special diet choice (e.g. Lactose free, vegan).

One hour before closure they didn’t let us in. Such a disappointment, we traveled 80 kilometres to eat there. The waiter recommended us a place where we can eat “pizza or gyros if we like”. Like, c’mon.. If we went there in the first place...and traveld that much, we don’t like to eat pizza or gyros. He was very rude to us. Don’t recommend it at all..More

It's been a while since I went to this restaurant. That time it was an average place, but now it provided a positive surprise for me and my friends. Freshly prepared, good quality.

The staff was very friendly and helped you very quick. The food was so delicious and looked very fancy the way it was presented on its plate. The view is also very nice, especially with the sunset. It was not very expensive for what you...get. And last but not least their dessert was the best one we got this holiday!More

We returned here after enjoying a lovely lunch. At the first visit the service was good with the exception of one waiter who clearly didn’t want to serve the English speakers however getting the bull was a mission. We’re not demanding and appreciate that any...English is a gift here in Hungary. We returned for an evening meal last night as we did enjoy the food and the outlook was nice. When we arrived the restaurant wasn’t full but there were lots of busy waiters who are very skilled at ignoring customers. We enjoyed our mains and would have ordered desserts or coffee if it were it for the lack of attention. After our plates were cleared it was nearly 3/4 of an hour before we could any attention. But then we just wanted the bill. It just seems that there is lack of organisation and load of opportunity. Getting the bill took another half an hour.More

Came here to try the traditional national desert, galushka, which was nice though we still have nothing to compare this one with:) and strudel was far from the original Tirol, according to its name in the menu, and here we could compare! The service was...nice too though we got our coffee long after the desert... The price to quality ratio is not the best you can get in this areaMore

Good food for a decent price. Quick service as well. And a really tasty souffle. Very nice location, near the lake. Lots of shade in hot weather.

I was shocked, that something like this can happen in a restaurant... Easter Monday - ok, very busy, but still... We ordered our drinks, a rude waiter comes, saying - sorry, I won’t ask each of you about the drinks, I have a lot of...things to do. I’ll put them in the middle and separate them ( we were 3) After they mixed up my food, I ordered grilled goat cheese and I got chicken with goat cheese (I’m a vegetarian). Ok, happens, but not even a single sorry, I’ll change it ASAP. Then the waiter comes (who brought the drinks) and took one of the empty plates, while I was still eating. My friend asked him, is somethings wrong and his response.. he started shouting I HATE DOING THIS, I HATE BEING HERE, PEOPLE JUST SITTING AND EATING, YOU CAN COME AND WORK... I mean, what?! I have been working in hospitality over 7 years and yes it’s not easy, but you can not behave like that... Food, music and view were nice, but because of the staff will never return back.More
