Today we went on a lunch with my boyfriend, his brother and my boyfriends best friend who is a known sommelier and restaurantour. The first thing that happend as we walked trough the door was a warm welcome and short history tour which was so...nice! After that we were shown to our table by Ana, the sweetest, nicest and most professional girl I've ever met. She was really the best and knew her job and role there very well and made us laugh and feel at home and at the same time walked us trough the culinary experience like a boss. The food was masterpiece after masterpiece and the paired wine was exquisite. The chef came to greet us several times and wasn't bothered at all by us wanting to take pictures like little star struck children. The pla e itself is really beautiful and the garden is breathing. Would recommend it 1000% and we are seriously considering it for our wedding. Loved itMore

All praise for today's lunch at Villa Podvin. We ate lunch: bean soup, sea bass fillet with black lentils with vegetables, mushroom cream, white fish sauce, celery and leeks, pork neck with roasted potatoes and with sun-dried tomatoes, yellow kohlrabi cream, broccoli, carrots and mustard....For dessert a mousse from dark and white chocolate with strawberry ice cream. The food was excellent. I would especially praise the extremely nicely baked and soft pork neck meat and the divine strawberry ice cream in the dessert. We were bothered by only two things: the waiter did not pour the sparkling wine into a sparkling wine glass, but into a regular white wine glass. He then poured the ordered white wine into the same glass from which I had previously drunk the sparkling wine. I also don't think it's right that they charge 2 euros for two glasses of tap water.More

Dear, thank you very much fro your review. We did everything right. At the training of a renowned wine expert, we learned that for sparkling wine, it is best to use white wine glasses and pour new wine into a moist (ovinjen) glass. Of course,...More

Alwyas a pleasant experience. At least once a year I try to visit. Always something fresh, very true to its policy of local, new, seasonal. Worth a visit and detour.

I understand that it is postocorona time. I understand that the chef is now busy also with his new Radovljica project a few miles away right in these precarious weeks. However... Reception perfect as during the previous dozen plus times. Service cordial and warm, but...rather sloppy, contrary to the excellent previous experience. The rest from my previous steady five points gets worse and worse. Wine list? None offered, wines recommended second rate, We opted for set lunches, waiting intervals were thus incredible. The initial game pate was tasteless, undersalted and underspiced (as well as the rest of food, as it turned out). Our disappointed comments were ignored by the staff. Beef soup marvellously dilluted to nearly unrecognizable. A completely neutral and quite tasteless dessert. Bearable mains. All in all, some 10 out of my 20 points for cuisine. Compared to 15- during my first visit, and a steady 15-15+ in the past years. What bothered us most was that the staff kept lying the chef was there himself, though it was completely obvious that some apprentice took his role at least for this lunch. A truly serious mistake from a restaurant that I held very highly in my esteem. Don't play games with foodie experts!More

Very nice again, this time we had three course menu and I'm still thinking about their delicious pork. Very nice place to stop by when you are around Bled or Radovljica.

The atmosphere and decoration is average. The main thing here is the kitchen. They do good job and food really tastes great. The service tries to follow, but they could do better. Therefor one could argue that the whole package does not justify their prices....I already enjoyed their food on couple of occasions. Maybe I didn’t notice it before but this time I was a bit disappointed that in the land where you can find drinking water around every corner they charge you tap water like they had to bring it from another site of Europe.More

we happened to celebrate our wedding anniversary here and didn't regret it for a second. the hostess was exceptionally friendly and gave us the feeling of being very welcome. the cozy garden is perfect for relaxing and for the apero. the food was great with...local wine pairing - both at fair prices. for swiss conditions even cheap. we also stayed overnight there and benefited from a package deal. the rooms are nothing special, but the breakfast is again like the dinner - great.More
