Good food, worth a visit

We walked into town from Hotel Jama looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday night & found this little gem tucked away by the sports ground. I was very suprised as from the location & the fact it was called a pizzeria, I wasn't expecting much but I was wrong. The restaurant upstairs is pleasant enough, tables aren't crammed in & the windows & doors to the terrace were open on a warm evening which made it nice. We had a very good meal, and although the staff seemed a little slow & not that friendly at first, they were actually very nice & happy to engage in conversation when we asked questions about the wine, area etc. My husband had a seasonal risotto which was packed with flavour & I had a chicken Schnitzel which was tasty. All in all a very nice evening & I'm glad we went.

The description of the "Neapolitan pizzas" on their website gives water to the mouth, but I was rather disappointed by the Margherita ordered. Both the dough and the tomato sauce were not up to scratch, and I was thirsty all evening. On the other hand, those who had pasta or meat dishes looked happy with their plate. At the service level, they start ridding without waiting for all the guests to finish eating, it is not very pleasant or relaxing. Great place, excellent service and food

Our first visit to this restaurant and pizzeria. We have had a pizza "Buffala" with mozarella made in a traditional way in wood-fired oven. Honestly, the best pizza I ever ate! Look at the pictures. Tasty and fair priced. Highly recommended!! Branko D.

Worst restaurant experience, ever! The place is a tourist trap. Waiting staff was awful. They were ignoring us, walking past us, while clearly seeing we would like a table, order, check,... When ordering food and drinks they were dismissive, dissrespectfull and argumentative. We were shocked by such awful behaviour for no reason. The food was ok, expensive, but the portions are half too small for adults. Adult man would have to order 2-3 pizzas (at 15€ a piece). They are probably making a living on Postojna cave (one time visiting) tourists, treating them like trash and not worrying about them coming back or not. NEVER AGAIN!!!

My business partner and I were very disappointed when visiting Pizzeria Cuk which was recommended to us by a local. Very unfriendly waiter approached us what was the first impression we got entering this so called famous Pizzeria. When ordering drinks the same waiter who apparently didn’t want to be there at that time, was so arrogant and unfriendly to us, that we couldn’t stand it anymore. We got up and spend our money somewhere else. If ever again hungry and in Postojna, will definitely not go to Cuk Pizzeria.

Tasteful meals in nice atmosphere

The atmosphere was lovely, with excellent service and delicious food. The pizza, "dunajski" , and grilled chicken were all very good, and the ombolo was outstanding. The desserts – panna cotta, chocolate mousse, and tiramisu – were delightful. The waiter kindly adjusted the menu to accommodate those of us with gluten sensitivities, allowing us to fully enjoy the meal.

Excellent dinner!

We went to this place on the recommendation of the hotel. The staff made us sit on the terrace. The Venere rice with fish and the schnitzel are excellent! Very generous portions, average prices (apart from the pizzas, a little more expensive than in Italy).

Pizza disappointment

We ordered pizza from Čuk several times and have been always satisfied. But not this time; pizza was so small, like if we ordered child size. So very disappointing. Obviously they did it the other way, not by raising the price, but cutting on portion sizes. Sorry, but no more orders from us again.

The best dessert I had all holiday

Our hotel recommended the restaurant Cuk and it took a while to find but when we got there it was fabulous. The tables were nicely spaced, it was busy but quiet and the food was delicious. I had the tuna salad and it was a decent sized tuna steak with a wonderful variety of veg, Deb opted for beef which looked equally delicious. Although we could have left it at that as the portion sizes were good I am, sadly, a glutton. The chocolate mousse dessert was wonderful and I was tempted to have a second but persuaded myself not to. A lovely combination of mousse, strawberries, blueberries, figs and, I think, cookie. A truly excellent meal and good value too - €65 including two pints and a side of grilled veg.

Inconspicuous from the outside, as it looks like a sports restaurant. When you go in, you go up a flight of stairs to the large pizza stone oven. You have to wait a short while before you are taken to a table. Staff very friendly, recommendations are given. We were more than surprised by the food. Served like in a Michelin-star restaurant. Taste and quality impeccable. We opted for a meat dish. Pizza also looked very tasty. Straight from the stone oven. Always worth a visit

Dinner at CUK in Postojina

Very nice and well furnished. Assorted menu, although missing some typical dishes, ranging from pizzeria to sandwiches, steaks to salads etc. Very good food and generous portions. Great desserts. Absolutely recommended to book so as not to run the risk of running out of dinner.

We went for a quick bite to eat before visiting the Postojna Cave. At the entrance we were not considered in the slightest and, after a reminder, we were told to wait. After 10 minutes of waiting we asked how long it would take to seat us since we had the visit booked. The waiter's response was literally: "It's not my problem". Very good food

We've been her for a lunch in July 2020. We sat on the terrace and ordered pizza "čuk" and "čuk specialty". The food was really great. We will defenetly return. Higly recommend. Very clean restaurant and toiletes.

A gorgeous dinner

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the chef. He gave us explanations in English and French on every dish and wine we had. The dishes were colourful, original and very tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant. It is nicely decorated. We definitely recommend this place!

Totally overpriced for the food and service offered. Basic food, nothing special. For example, they have a simple French fries, but don’t have ketchup pretending to be a fancy place. Service was very slow. Vienna schnitzel was terrible.
