The best fish plate

We were here for late lunch. With three hungry kids and 4 adults. It was amazing. Me and my husband eat a lot on the seaside, everywhere. We love seafood. But here, i never on the whole slovenian coast ate so good fish plate for two!! It was amazing. Calamari, fish, potato with spinach, schrimps, scallows. Everything so good, so tastefull. Our friend had a brill fish baked jn a owen, also amazing, full of taste and so fresh. We will definitely come again. And they also have their own olive oil, that you can also buy. Amazing, very nice service, very friendly staff. One of the best meal we had the whole vacation.

Good restaurant for normal dinner. For start we ate soups (beef and fish). Fish was tasty and "strong". Than we ordered fish plate for 3. It was good. Ingrediants was good - fish on grill, calamari, fried calamari. Salat wasn't prepared with oil, salt and vineger. I like that salad is prepeard in kitchen.. Maybe just lack off taste and lack of salt this evening. Fish and "blitva" not salty at all. In the end very good lemon sorbet. The staff was friendly and professional.

Great dining experience!

Went here for a nice meal with my friends. The restaurant offers an extensive menu. We ate fish, shrimbs and squid and it was fantastic. Staff is quick and very nice.

For me it is more expensive as it should be, when food is not really tasty, service is also not good. We ordered bacala, got it without any knife to spread it, without any bread to put it on. We were searching for waiters to get it. Then we already ordered and another waiter came to ask if we want to order something - so they are not well organized. I know many places around, where we can get better food and service for that price. I just wanted to check this one - i never did before - but now I know I won’t go there again. None of the plates was really tasty, anyway the portions are big.

Looooooong waiting time (more than an hour!) for far less than an average meal

We stopped in Idila to have lunch, however we were more than disappointed with the slow service and food quality . Besides that, we had not gotten all what we have ordered. We asked for beef-soup and 2 mixed salads to get IN ADVANCE as an appetizer. After waiting more than half an hour, two more waiters came along to ask us what we would like to order. I told them we have already placed our order half an hour ago, but we are still waiting for the salad and beef-soup. It took another half an hour to get our food. To our surprise they brought a mushroom soup instead of beef-soup, so we refused it and got a beef-soup within next few minutes. So why we were waiting for it for an hour before???? For the main course we had ordered pasta with truffles and shrimp, risotto with shrimp tails and cevapcici (kind of meat balls) with pommes-frites and one more mixed salad. It took another half an hour to get this. At the end they forgot to bring pommes-frites and a salad. Pasta with truffles was already semi-cool when we got it. By the way, the toilets are far from being clean and tidy, and the smell in there is awful... Seems they have much more guests than they can handle in every aspect... Our overall experience is BAD! The only thing I can recommend you do, is NOT TO GO THERE!!!

Extraordinary dinner !!

Every year we organize a friends meeting and Restaurant Idila is always our preffered location. The taste of the food is really delicious. The stuff is polite, ambicious, very friendly! This place is good also for wedding dinners or for larger groups, where you can enjoy your meal and also listed to good live music. We will definitely come back next year! Keep up the good work, boys !

Excellent place to stop while stuck in border crossing traffic; very good food, good value

(This restaurant is not in Poerc or Potoroz) We visited Idila on a late evening in August 2018. We had flown into Ljubljana, rented a car, and were en route to Istria, Croatia, when we encountered the soul-crushing weekend border crossing traffic near the Dragonja crossing. At about 9 in the evening as traffic crept past Idila, we decided to stop and rest before proceeding. Idila has parking across the two-lane highway, and were seated for what was to become a highlight of our trip. While the service ran at a familiar European pace (relaxed but attentive), we decompressed over some wine and appetizers. Our boys (9 and 7) were glad to be out of the car. The food was an unexpected surprise - perfectly cooked steak, delicious octopus salad, fries and other delights were well-prepared and served hot. After a little over 90 minutes, we were checked out, traffic had cleared quite a bit, and we were rested, fed and happy. Well worth a stop here, even if traffic isn't a mess at this crossing. I recommend this restaurant.

Unexpected Delicious Lunch

We did not plan to stop here, but we were in a long wait coming from Croatia and it is just off the main road. We pulled in and were greeted by very friendly staff and had excellent service. We ordered the mix meat platter which was large enough for two people. It came with an assortment of beef, chicken, pork, and sausage. As well as, french fries and vegetables. It was delicious and was just what we were looking for. I recommend this place if you are making the trip from Croatia to Italy.

Nice place close to the main road. Big parking place in front. Patrick with all staff are very friendly and professional. Great grill outdoor, fish food speciality’s and sweet’s on the end. Family keeping restaurant, highly recommended.

Great cuisine from grill and seafood

We didn't plan to stop here, but there was slowly moving traffic jam on the way to Croatia and we spotted this restaurant. The parking is on one side of the road and the restaurant is on other side, a bit adventure to cross the road but it worth. It looks like a small family restaurant, friendly stuffs (the waiteress serving us could speak English, German and Italian). They offer a lot of seafood dishes and grill specialities). We spent one hour there, and worth it.

Excellent food and great service!

First time eating there and I was fascinated! It's not a classic restaurant where you could order fried food instead of that I let the waiter help me with my choice and I received a 800g enormous and delicious T-bone steak. Neither my girlfriend was disappointed with a portion of "kalamari" and their own wine. The service is fast, funny and professional at once. I recommend to give a try! It would be a pity not to take their homemade olive oil or wine as a souvenir.

Great restaurant with friendly staff and great food

After a 6 hour traffic jam at the border crossing. tired and hungry we came across this place. It was first restaurant we saw in Slovenia. It was also the best of our trip. Great food cooked in your view by really nice friendly staff.
