The cakes, sandwiches and teas cannot be faulted and are among the best in Ljubljana. The experience would be perfect were it not for a loud man in a reflective vest selling newspapers who seems to always be nearby. He walks up to guests (particularly younger women) and pesters them with annoying remarks. The staff never say anything to him.... More

Nice interior, possible to also buy big number of tea variety rinfuso, with nice china to go with. Nice selection of breakfast or little meals, salad. Ice tea in summer, other blends always availible, served appropriately w/o milk etc

... to have breakfast and an excellent cup of tea (big choice of high quality teas, black, green non-flavoured and flavoured, fruit teas...). Service is very friendly. A place to spend rainy afternoons....

This is my favourite place in Ljubljana when i want to have a relaxing and comfortable evening with my friends. Huge selection of interesting teas. I had a cake gibanica, which was adorable (with raisins in cottage cheese layer!). The waiter is super friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.

You want a nice cup of superb tea in a rather quite place. Maybe you'd like to read a book or chat with a friend so you might want to be comfortable enough to order another cup. Then you might get a bit hungry so you'd like to be able to grab a sandwich or a cake. And when you're... More

A day at Čajna hiša (“Tea House”) starts with breakfast. Croissants, several types of sandwiches, omelettes, yoghurt with fruits. And tea of course. They have over fifty varieties and also use them make their own iced tea. They even make coffee, but for this, we absolutely prefer the next door neighbour Cafetino. For lunch, you can have one of their... More

Nice place with relax atmosphere. Very friendly staff. For me is the best if I can have Saturday morning breakfast there, talk with friends and observing street life. Especially in warmer months when you can sit outside. In restaurant tea shop is very good source for different types of tea.

Disclaimer: I lived in Ljubljana for 4 years and was here almost daily. Any time of the year it is a wonderful place for breakfast, great sandwiches, wonderful coffee, THE best hot chocolate ever and, of course, an incredible array of teas to try as well as their wonderful tea shop. We still miss it and talk about it more... More
