This is my favorite breakfast place. Amazing selection of tea, decent coffee and light food. Sit on the street in summer, or inside during winter.

The usual menu offers many kinds of tea from different parts of the world. There's a menu for cool summer drinks, including different kinds of ice tea, just perfect for that hot June day. Green tea/matcha is a major feature there. I tried the green tea tiramisu, quite nice although the matcha taste wasn't that strong.

We have yet to eat at Cajna hiša, simply because we didn't realise till the last day of our trip that it also served food, but the menu promises great light meals with imaginative flavour combinations. The coffee is very good, light yet invigorating, and there's a wide range of teas with a shop on premises. However, it's the service... More

The right place to talk with friends in soficticated atmosphere with a cup of delicious tea. Take the upper table in winter or stay outside in shadowy street in summer. Buy some tea in the tea shop beside.

My wife and I were looking for a good light lunch and we found it at Cajna Hisa. Since it was raining, we ate indoors in pleasant surroundings. We each had the soup du jour which was a marvellous chickpea puree. My wife had a delicious vegetarian salad with sheep's cheese. I had their great rocket salad with prosciutto, wonderfully... More

10th April 2016. Tea and light lunch. One part of this establishment sells a vast range of teas and teapots, cups, etc, the other is the Cafe/Restaurant. We had a window seat overlooking the street. I had a plain ham and cheese toastie - just right. My wife had what looked like (and was) half a small loaf of bread... More

The cakes, sandwiches and teas cannot be faulted and are among the best in Ljubljana. The experience would be perfect were it not for a loud man in a reflective vest selling newspapers who seems to always be nearby. He walks up to guests (particularly younger women) and pesters them with annoying remarks. The staff never say anything to him.... More
