Great (also Vegan) Brewery Food

If you want some nice rustic food with a nice selection of Beer on a hot summer day, this is the place for you. The food we ordered were a lot and very delicious, my vegetarian girlfriend liked the selection of vegetarian and vegan options very much, this happens not very often in a meat environment like a brew house restaurant. On the food the only downside was the salad dressing which was very blend, but all the other stuff was very delicious. You can sit outside in a beer garden, which is next to a main road, this cause some noise. Our waiter seems to be new, so he didn't know the menue well, but that was not a problem for us. The beer selection is really nice and they even have beer only sold in the Brewery. The IPA was very good but I also recommend the Triplev.

Hy guys We come to Pivnica Union every week after our beachwolley session. Just wanted to say beer food is so fresh and tasty, traditional combination of Slovenian and Bavaria dishes comes excellent together with mix superca beer( that is a big one mix from white and black beer). Just wanted to show local support for all the tourists that will come to Ljubljana, food is delicious, with so cool, hacienda lookalike garden is so hype, and a local ljubljanian pride beer is the best you can get in Slovenia. Just go there and enjoy. Ps. The waiters are super nice and friendly.

Wonderful experience

We visited the museum of Union brewery, as well as the pub itself. Museum is great and the guide, Marko, was really interested in telling us all we wanted to know. We had a great time, that was further improved by great food and some of the beer varieties, only available in the pub. Well worth visiting, but come hungry, as portions are quite generous.

Food was not possible to get as main chef quit job allthough almost every table had food on it. Nobody seemed to care. A waiter found out that it is not his fault and try to convience us that for a pub it is enough only to have drinks. They are selling themselves as one of best restaurants in Ljubljana. Gostinstvo Jezeršek as manager of the place should do better. As citizen of Ljubljana and pretty regular guest I am extremly dissapointed. Shame.

Dear Matej, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience, we appreciate all comments of our guest. At the time of your visit, the kitchen was not operating, because one of our kitchen staff was showing signs of infection with corona virus and to protect our guest, we needed to isolate all kitchen staff. Fortunately, it was a false alarm. We are aware that the situation was not properly communicated from our side so we kindly ask you to understand the situation regarding covid precocious and except our apologies.

Extremely bad service, we waited more than half an hour for a drink in an almost empty restaurant. But when you ask the waiter after an hour if you could order something to eat (even though it was already agreed in advance that we would eat), he almost killed us with his look. Absolutely no advice from the wait staff, so my colleague only got poultry without any side dish (we could have warned him), Because he only saw when he was served that he didn't get a side dish, he only ordered it then, and he didn't get it until 40 minutes later. Shame on Jezerške and Ljubljana.

Nice food, great beer

You can't skip the beer part when coming here, but you also shouldn't skip their food. I tried their 360° burger and it finally made me realize what garbage we've been having at fast food restaurants. Definitely recommend it.

Union Pub is a great spot for lunch and walking distance far from the city centre. We did the Union Experience, which was leb by Ana, who was friendly, personable and very knowledgeable! The experience was brilliant and included VR, a walk round the museum showing the history of the brewery, along with a competition. This was all rounded up with a tasting at the end. We had the opportunity to try four of the Union beers, which went down an absolute treat. Thanks to Ana for a great tour! Absolutely recommend this experience if you have a couple of hours to spare. We had lunch in the pub afterwards, and it didn't disappoint! We had the 360° Burger and it was cooked to perfection and oozing with cheese. The staff were friendly and efficient. Absolutely recommend Union Pub if you're in the area.

Excellent beer And The best burger In Town! I mean what The freaking heck was this? Why wasn’t this listed anywhere as the best burger in town I Will never understand. We tried unfiltered beer And lager - cold, clean glass, cold beer with The right smell And Jezeršek 360 ° burger was absolutely (And we have many great burgers In Bratislava) delicious 🔥 brioche light as it can be, juicy meat done perfect, delish sauce, Brie cheese twist, fresh salad and crunchy pickled red onion. Simple and perfect!!!! And those fries were fresh, looked like home made and the mayo with them was very yummy. Recommend ❤️

Would definitely recommend!

Had a brilliant time on the Union Experience tour. We were unsure what to expect but the 90 minute tour was genuinely fun and interesting, alongside being great value with the number of free beers at the end. Ana K was an outstanding host, she gave brilliant historical insight and made the tour very engaging through answering questions. Would definitely recommend.

Great service and food

We wanted to try the local beer and watch some soccer and found this place. Lovely patio. The service was great! The server was so nice to go over the menu for us (so we didn’t have to attempt to translate it all). The beers were good. The food was really good. Best sweet potato fries i have had in a long time! The flatbread was huge and interesting combo of ingredients. I would be happy to visit again next time I’m in Ljubljana.

WHAT AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE!!

I had so much fun! During the museum visit (which is breathtaking and has all the machines from the beginning of the brewery) we had a small competition and had to answer questions and find caps around the brewery which made the museum visit interacting and fun! Masa O. and Lucia told us everything we needed to know while being so nice and welcoming. They communicated with us in a really nice way so everything was clear and not one question stayed unanswered. I would definitely visit this place again. 1000/10, would recommend it to everyone who enjoys beer. :)

Bad habits!

Everything changes, only the bad habits in the pub remain the same. You still have to ask to be served, even if only a few tables are full. But when they are in a hurry to clean up, because it will close in half an hour, they take a glass with a few sips of beer in front of your nose. It seems that you are trying to drive guests away with unfriendliness! Thank God at least the beer is good

Very good company and tour guidance by Tjaša! We were positively surprised. The museum visit is breathtaking and has all the machines from the beginning of the brewery. Extraordinary amazing. Tjaša told us everything we needed to know. Also, the food in the restaurant was very good, we enjoyed it. We will definitely visit this place again. We recommend this visit to everyone who enjoys good food and good beer.
