About
Klobasarna is a place, positioned in the heart of Ljubljana’s Old Town Center, where you can treat yourself to an original Slovene Carniolian sausage. The Carniolian sausage is served with a fresh bagel, mustard and horseradish and you can get all this as take-away as well. The knowledge and skill of making the Carniolian (Kranjska) sausage originates from a centuries-old tradition of “slaugh."

A small little fast food place specialising in Slovenian soup that is quite unique from the other food places we tried in Ljubljana. The place isn't that big, there are only like around 5 tables inside and tables outside, and it's self-service, but the entire place is quite cosy and comfortable.
We visited the place in winter, and I must say the soup is an absolute delish in the weather. You can order sausages to go with your soup and I highly recommend their dessert too. Loved the atmosphere here and the location is quite good too. An absolute must try if you're a fan of soups.

Carnelian sausage îs a traditional food in Slovenia, as is the barley soup also served here. We ordered two sausages and a bowl of soup which came with bread, two crusty rolls, and mounds of horseradish and mustard, plus two beers. The entire meal cost 15 Euros which was very reasonable.
The problem was it was too much food for us. The meal was very filling and good in a hearty way, although the soup is not terrible distinctive in flavour. However, you really should try the sausage at least once while in Slovenia. But, I would suggest for two people ordering either one sausage and the soup (which is still a lot) or just the two sausages and rolls.
Also arrive early for lunch as the limited outside seating is taken up fast and the restaurant next door is not particularly happy if you use their seating. We were lucky the day we visited as shortly after we started to eat there were people standing waiting for tables and then a drove of Hungarian hockey fans arrived ( in town for a European championship game against Slovenia).
I would recommend eating lunch at least once at the Klobasarna.

Grab a meaty, juicy sausage and a loaf of bread with mustard and horseradish on the side … it’s delicious and gives you the authentic taste of Slovenia. €6 for two.
We were not so fond of the sweet pastry rolls with three kinds of filling. It’s like eating boiled pancakes. €4 per plate.
Third option is a kind of stew. That’s it.

I was just wondering along thinking I wanted food but couldn't be bothered with a sit-down meal when I came across this place! Chopped up sausage with a bread roll, mustard and horseradish - with a coca-cola it came to about 9.5 Euros. Friendly and quick service, delicious food to eat while walking back to my hotel along the riverside.

1 kind of sausage, 1mustard, 1bread. Plus rice soup, and a delicious desert of 3 different Strudel. Easy to order - no choices - so get it all ! Plus pale ale or Bevog Pils. Fast Friendly Tasty and no tourist Rip Off. Will come here forever. Maybe you don’t get a seating only 3 tables so be prepared to munch at the standing Bar table

"Klobasarna" is a small snack bar that can only accommodate a few guests. However, there was no crowd because around 6 p.m. I was the only guest, and a very hungry one at that. A portion of two Carniolian sausages and one bread roll seemed too small to me, so I took an extra roll. It was a perfect choice; I reached full satiety. I generously dipped the sausages in horseradish and mustard and washed it all down with excellent craft beer. Pig, wheat, and hops - I need nothing more in life.
P.S. The waitress was kind and charming and had an understanding of my "broken Slovenian." She charmed me so much that when I left „Klobasarna“, I imagined I had lost my glasses and returned to look for them. Of course, I didn't find them; I stumbled upon them only late in the evening in the inner pocket of my jacket. Was my subconscious controlling me?

This “fast food” is almost on central square in central of Ljubljana. In front on cathedral St. Nicolas. Few tables outside and some number of pigeons which flying around but mostly stay on ground and do not disturb people when they eat. But sausages is fantastic. Especially in combination with “Ričet” ( homemade thick soup ) what is very tasty and nice. Also bread they prepare by them self and with each of portions it hot and fresh. Price and portion are very fair, when you include exclusivity of place where is this unusually “fast food” situated. Also they have some other specialties like Kranjska sausage with Istrian soup and also some else, but that I will try next time when I will visit Ljubljana like a turist.

We were told to try barley soup as a local speciality and came across this little gem on a wet, cold day. Not only do they serve soup but also Carniolan sausage. You had options and the soups came with a delicious freshly baked bread roll. Definite value for the serving size and it was delicious

Located in the heart of the Old Town, this small establishment manages to maintain an authentic feel as a consequence of being just behind the cathedral and slightly away from the most touristic part of Ljubljana. It's a simple takeaway with just a handful of chairs inside and a few tables in the street outside. I'm sure it's well frequented throughout the year but we were glad it was just about warm enough to eat at one of the tables in reasonable comfort.
Their signature dish is a generous plate of sliced sausage served with both horseradish and mustard with a small, warm bread roll, all of which we enjoyed.

Very good sausage. The large one is very substantial so I recommend taking the medium one which is still a lot. The sauces that accompany the sausage are mustard and horseradish, very strong in flavor. Bread costs 0.50 more. The sweet rolls are also good and come in three different flavours, one with cinnamon, one with cheese and one with herbs... very particular. We spent a total of 23 euros: 2 large sausages with both bread and 1 dessert.

Great little casual eatery with quick bites and traditional Slovenian fare. We had the Sausage with cheese and it was fantastic! The Barley stew with sausage and the sausage and bread selections looked delicious wish I could have had one of each. Highly recommend if you are finding yourself in Ljubljana.

Our guide recommended this unpretentious fast food joint for a quick snack.
Tasty sausages to enjoy, different styles and sizes.
1/2 Kranjska klobasa with horseradish&mustard and 1 klobasa&sirom/cheese, 1 glass of white wine, 1 beer for around 18 Euro!
Value for money!

Excellent food, we had the Jota stew witk kranjska and a portion of kranjska with mustard and horseradish. Meat is excellent but the stew is the real star, made with sour turnip, beans and potatoes, tasty and heartwarming! Big portions!

We had just arrived in Ljubljana and turning around the center, near the Church of St. Nicholas, we spot a small but essential place, I had marked it among the places to try, a few tables inside, we ate a plate of typical Slovenian sausage with sauces, the horseradish one for us who are not used to it has a "too much" taste. We divided it into 3 was a taste so there is, the dish is accompanied by bread. Good

Overrated place with average sausages at best. High price for nothing special. The sausages are not my type but im not sure if its the restaurant fault or if its just the recipe, but i didnt like the fact that the sausages are kept in boiled water and they are full of water.
