Best lunch in Ljubljana! Delicious fresh meals with mediterranean ingredients and staff is very kind. Bring your own food container when you order take away. Every day there is meat, fish and vegetarian dish, the last one being the cheapest, which encourage lower carbon footprint...diet. Not to even mention the whole concept of the restaurant - including cooks in training to face the restaurant world. Impressive!More

Located very close to Dragon Bridge, this is a small restaurant, simply furnished and immaculately clean. Service was friendly and quick. The food is freshly prepared from local ingredients and served in large portions. We each had a main meal, bottled water and an alcoholic...drink each, the total cost was EUR 20. They offer take away service and lots of local people came to collect food while we were there. Menu is limited, but changes each day & there are always meat dishes, fish dishes & vegetarian dishes. Cannot recommend this place and the staff enough - a real find & we will be back to stock up on take away salads for our onward journey. Please note, you need to prove that you have been vaccinated to be able to eat here.More

The breakfast here was fantastic. It was the best breakfast we had in Ljubljana. The eggs with bacon and the cold cut were delicious. They serve really good coffee as well. The staff is friendly and the food came very quickly. I highly reccomend this...place!More

I went here with my mom at around 14:30. Since they close at 16:00 the lunch menu was limited but I choose the mushroom lasagna. It was the most delicious lasagna I have ever eaten. I choose ginger lemonade as my drink and it was...also delicious. The concept of the restaurant is also very nice since they hire people who have a harder time to get a job. The venue is also very nice.More

It’s fresh and healthy, always caring about vegetarian lovers as well as the ones wanting some fish or meat, and it’s based on local products. Their staff has a mission (youth and disabled amongst them) and it’s a feel to it, a beautiful ambience. And...not to forget, maybe the most important, they make excellent food for a good price! Well worth a visit if in the hood and looking for a tasty lunch!More

They offer only a daily menu. Each day something else. And it is possible that some dishes are sold out before closing. This means that everything is fresh. No fridged food. Very good price-performance.

The mushroom soup was really good, the slowly baked pork with garlic, mashed potatoes, pea and bacon was truly exquisite, same for the baked sea bass. The staff is gentle and funny, the bill is low, like 7 euros for every dish and you eat a...lot with just one. RecommendedMore

My friend and I ate here every morning we stayed in town. It was about a 2 minute walk from our hostel (hostel 24) and it was overall fantastic. When you walk by the place you can smell how good the food is, that is...how we were originally drawn in. The waiter spoke good English (thankfully because we do not speak Slovenian) and was very friendly to us. We both had the bacon omelette and it was delicious and a big portion. It came with homemade bread as well. Two portions of the omelette and two coffees with milk came to a total of 12.90 Euro which is a bargain in my opinion for the quality and portion of food we received. If I ever find myself in Slovenia again I would come back here for breakfast, and lunch, without a second thought! Also, this resturant gives opportunities to high risk groups who would otherwise have a hard time learning work skills and gaining experience to find jobs elsewhere- so it is worth supporting this cause!More

In the evening this restaurant is used for a cooking class, but I had never been here in the daytime until we decided to try the breakfast. We’re glad we did. They open at 8 am and the cooks are already busy preparing an array...of fresh dishes for their popular lunch. Not so busy for breakfast as we were the only customers between 8 and 9. The vegetarian and bacon omelettes came with two thick slices of French bread, my son enjoyed his eggs over easy with Karst ham and bread. The menu explains that this restaurant provides job training for disadvantaged young adults, but we didn’t see anyone who was obviously a trainee—the open kitchen seemed quite professional. If you are looking for a good breakfast for a decent price in Ljubljana center, give them a try.More

Cons: Waited at door for several minutes while young blonde girl in glasses (who turned out to be our server) behind counter pretended not to see us... we had to ask if we should seat ourselves, with that, she pointed to a table. Could have...been a language thing, but she had zero personality and seemed as though she didn't want to be there... given the mission statement of the restaurant, I found that odd. The chicken dish I had was way too dry (inedible), and under seasoned. They do not have ice... lemonade served piss-warm, as it water. They will run out of most offerings if you get there after 3 PM. Pros: The prices are reasonable, considering the portions. My potato truffle soup was great... served hot & tasty. In closing, I was disappointed considering so many past favorable reviews.More

It might be wise to reserve a table if you want to eat here. A daily menu with varying dishes was hand written on our table in the tiny restaurant, filled with fresh and amazing dishes (limited stock). We had some gnochi for lunch which...was quite cheap, amazingly fresh, clearly home made and delicious! A €7 portion was more than enough to feed us hungry travellers! An affordable place with affordable and very tasty wine and food!More
