Visited and tried their pizza. One of the best in Ljubljana. They are not in city center but can definitely recommend the visit.

Trying a pizza with charcoal base is a must, it is really tasty. The service was good and the prices too. The interior is very pleasant. We will be back.
Origano has been my favorite restaurant for enjoying lunch during the workday for the past four years. They were a place where I could regularly enjoy good food and friendly service. I would have given them 4 and more stars if I were writing this...review 1 year ago. However, in the last year, I have had a plethora of poor experiences with them. Let me just mention two such examples from the last two weeks alone: Today (Friday) I arrived to the restaurant with five coworkers. We arrived a little later than usual (12:45-ish), and unfortunately they had already run out of the two top items on their menu. That’s fine, it happens, as we had arrived a little later than usual. We ordered from what was still available, and I ordered meatballs, which were going to be served with pasta instead of mashed potato, because they run out of that as well. I didn’t mind this too much, as long as I can get mostly filled by eating good food I am satisfied. The real issues started when they served the salads (cabbage and lettuce). Usually they serve all salads unseasoned, so that you can season it as you prefer it. Frequently, I eat it unseasoned, as I don’t like the acidity of vinegar. This time the salad was already full of vinegar. When I emptied the bowl, there was still half a centimeter of vinegar left inside. Emptying that bowl was a shocking experience. The issues continue as we start to receive our main dishes. My colleagues received their pizzas and vegetable pad thais. By the time they were finishing their food, I was still waiting for my meatballs with pasta. When I warn the waitress that I was still waiting, she bluntly apologizes and says “Why didn’t you tell me?”, as if it was my mistake that she missed out that I was left without food. I imply that I would appreciate a small discount on the bill. I then receive my food and start eating is hastily while my coworkers wait for me. One of them had to leave before I finished eating to attend a scheduled meeting, the rest patiently waited for me to gulp down the food. When we received the bill, the waitress didn’t mutter a word of apology for the late service, and doesn’t offer any discount at all. Mistakes happen, but when these mistakes cause a poor experience to their customers, it is customary to profusely apologize and offer a discount to the bill. This is NOT the first time this happens. In the last few months I can recall at least two times when one of us didn’t receive their meal until everyone else was finished with theirs. My second example of a poor customer experience was from only the week before! On the menu they offer “Kaneloni s šobsko solato” (cannelloni with šobska salad). The way the word is written in Slovenian, it suggests three or more cannelloni. I received only one cannelloni and about three spoonfuls of šobska salad, enough to fill a kid. Was this marked as kid meal perhaps? After I finished the meal, the waiter kindly (or was it with a hint of irony?) asks if I filled myself, to which I reply negatively. He offers to bring me an extra portion, to which I tell him that a complete portion could be slightly excessive, but that I would appreciate a little more. He says not to worry, and goes to the kitchen to see what he can do about it. A minute later he is back, and says that he can give me an extra cannelloni, and that he would give a discount for it at the end. This surprised me, as I wasn’t expecting that I would have to pay extra, especially as the original meal was impossibly insufficient for an adult (and substantially smaller than their regular meal size). The waiter made sure I started salivating for some extra food before telling me he would charge extra for it. By this time, I had already envisioned myself leaving the restaurant with a full stomach so I agreed to take what he was offering despite the extra charge. He brought me an extra cannelloni without any šobska salad, and gave me a 30% discount at the end. To summarize, while the menu was promising three or more cannelonni with šobska salad, I received just one canneloni, an insufficient amount for almost everyone. I was then kindly offered a second one, but only after I had my hopes up was I told that I would be charged extra for it, and I was charged extra for it. This kind of incidents have been plaguing this restaurant for the past months. This summer they have frequently forgotten to bring us our beverages. Outside it was over 30 degrees celsius and inside the restaurant barely any less. When we reminded them that we were thirsty, and my mouth was so dry I had to suspend eating, and sweat was pouring from every pore on my body, they still took 10 more minutes to bring a glass of water. Origano used to be my favorite restaurant for lunch in the neighbourhood. They used to consistently serve good food and had friendly and good service. In the last twelve months or so, the service has gone south. Apparently there has been a change of ownership, and also all the waiters have been replaced a while ago. Since then, Origano is no longer what it used to be. I can’t recommend this one to people who work in the vicinity, at least for their lunch-time service. The people working in the technology park in 2019 we now find ourselves with a large unfulfilled need for a good mid-range restaurant. We need a restaurant that can consistently serve good food, stable meal sizes, and observant and attentive waiters. My coworkers and I believe that such restaurant would be an instant hit.More
We were looking for a place to have a moderate meal and close to our hotel. We read the reviews and said let’s try it. Since we do not speak any Slovenian, it was interesting reading the menu. Thanks to Google translate for the help....The woman only knew a few words of English. We asked for 2 pizzas to be shared among 4 people. They cut them in half for us. The pizzas were excellent! We had a nice bottle of wine as well. I would definitely return if we are in the area again. Try the spicy pizza with the spicy sausage - I really enjoyed it.More

In this place you can find nice pizza or other Italian food, I suggest garden in summer. If you are in this part of town you should try it
We have been many times to this restaurant. I would recommend you to order pizza. It is very tasty. Also other dishes are very good. If you are in the neighborhood, this is absolutely a restaurant worth a visit.
Their food is excellent. We ate there many times and we tried everything from fish to pasta. Pizzas are also good. What i love to eat there is the sallads. Best od the best. Staff is nice and homey. Restaurant is cozy. They also have...big and covered garden area. Very recommended if you want to eat tastey food.More
Terrible. Do not go there. Do not eat fishes. I almost died. I got a headache, pressure in my eyes and strong diarrhea.
Good place for a "quick" lunch break or a dinner. Be it with a partner, company or friends. The food is very decent, and the ambient solid. It's nothing special in that term, but as far aa price/quality goes..I pick them regularly. Enjoy
Excellent aged angus steak, , radiccio an vegetables, friendly staff, nice wine range, reasonable prices
We have visited Origano several times and in average the overall rating was not bad. The service is good and on a menu some decent dishes could be found. Vine selection is basic and has lack of profound selection. If you will be attempted by...spare ribs, do not try, you will be totally disappointed.More
What a kaos?! So crowded in the end of the week with only one waiter. Owner was trying hard to help but they realy had a bad day... we got our plates after 30 min of waiting, my pasta which could be very delicius was...without any salt and peper, his pizza was too much baked. They realy need to improve the service.More
Serving a pizza as they doit it Origano, would attract locals even in Napoli or Sicily. Try their Gourmet Pizza's, you will be surprised as never before. If just all pizzeria's in Italy were like this...
Great place for a business lunch. Been there last week and food was delicious. Will definitely return.
