This place is about a ten minute walk from the bus/train station, so handy if you are returning from a trip to Lake Bled, as I was, and it's on a quiet street with not much else around. Simple interior, friendly staff, English menus, and...amazingly delicious food. I had the mixed grill platter with some fries and kaymak and would happily eat that again, any day of the week - really flavourful, perfectly cooked. Really really good value too. The above (that also comes with bread) and a couple of cokes was only 14 Euros. Definitely the best meal I had in Ljubljana.More

Amazing food, good service especially if you're looking for something that will both fill you up and not hit your wallet too hard.

I think this restaurant deserves the high marks it has. Although Slovenia is not technically in the Balkans, many Balkan people live here and their spirit is noticed in this restaurant. By that I mean nothing negative, indeed. Diversity enriches us. The food was plentiful...and excellent. Ćevapi (kebabs) are really excellent, lepinja (the bun) is well prepared and grah prebranac (the beans) is very good too. Their home brew is very good and the service is high. Turkish coffee is a great finish to the meal.More

The food has a very good flavor and despite being economic, the portions were very big (we even had to order it for take out, because we couldn’t finish it all) -something that almost never happens in Europe, where portions tend to be small. Everything...tasted great and the place has a good atmosphere. I think there were more locals than tourists but the staff speaks English perfectly and everyone is kind, so it’s not a problem at all. Highly recommended!More

We loved this 'common' tavern as the staff was friendly, the soup amazing, and even the bread was tasty.Torally recommend for a low budget - but high in taste - meal.

We had our family of 10 come in twice for dinner in September. Service was prompt, and portion sizes are large! Anel, our server - was especially attentive to our toddler, which made the evening for us parents less stressful. Thank you again from Canada!

We had a great time yesterday. Waiter Damjan was great, very friendly service. The food was delicious and the prices are more than fair. Would recommend to anyone who likes traditional Balkan style food!
