CAN’T DISAPPOINT YOU

I had been in Dans le Noir in Kuala Lumpur and I really enjoyed it, so when I came back to Ljubljana I was prepared to eat in total darkness. I was very impressed by the organization of the whole event, moderator prepared little games in the dark for us, and that was super fun. It is not the cheapest, but we had private reservation so it was worth it. Food was great, wine was fantastic. English was not a problem at all!

INTERESTING AND NEW EXPERIENCE

The restaurant is in complete darkness, you cannot see anything. We went as a couple, but there were more people in the room. I loved the atmosphere, we had enough privacy but there were also nice group dynamics, we had different games and that was super exciting. I also loved the food and wine guessing and comparing the answers with others in the end, that was for me just part of the game. The price is not the cheapest if you are going just for the food, but this is not the every week dinner so it is worth it.

Fun experience!

I was a bit sceptical at first, but once I was in it became fun and definitely a night to remember. The staff were great and kept us entertained and assured us with their positive energy and amazing service which made the food so much more enjoyable. I recommend this experience to people that like to have their meal in a unique way with some extra flavour or just want to try something new and exciting.

What a fun and memorable experience

What a fun and memorable experience … I had such a great night with my wife, so I highly recommend it for an anniversary, birthday or just a date night out. Food tastes amazing (even better when you can’t see it), slovenian wines are great (you have to take wine pairing option), waiters and moderators are super fun and friendly. I can say only positive things. Great concept!

MORE THAN I EXPECTED

I had a blast! Our guide Klemen was very helpful and funny. The food was surprisingly good (i checked some reviews and it was the opposite what I expected. We really liked the main course because of the different flavours and interesting textures, but I need to be quiet about it because I don't want to spoil it for you. We enjoyed every bit of the night. Thanks for that amazing experience in Ljubljana.

Great experience

I always admired waiters and I think that being a good one is a hard job, so I was really impressed by the skills of our server for the night, he must have excellent skills to be that smooth in PITCH dark. Also our animator was witty and charming. Food and wine was also great, I loved guessing and I did pretty well actually. It was a wonderful experience, it would be fun to have pictures to see how we behaved in the dark.

Dinner in the Dark was a great experience I have had. It is unique, meaningful and enjoyable. The food was great, very tasty, interesting flavors with a lot of variety. The staff was very friendly, relaxed and professional. I highly recommend you to try this out, with your partner, family or friends.

Totally unique and fun experience

This experience was amazing from start to finish. There was excellent communication from Tina (thank you Tina!) in helping me book and all staff were enthusiastic and humorous throughout the evening. Our waiter was especially kind to explain everything to us in English as we were the only English speakers there on this evening. We felt well looked after and I would absolutely recommend this for a unique and fun night out. As for the food itself, it was fantastic. Good for vegetarian and other dietary needs but you still get to taste a bit of modern Slovenian cuisine as in the description.

Perfect arranged proposal in the dark

I contacted Dinner in the Dark because I wanted to do a proposal. From the beginning they were very enthusiastic, helping and creative to make it a unforgettable experience. On my request they specially arranged a chocolate fondue. And they made it happen! Good preparation and communication upfront and a special thanks to host Mitja as well for his hospitality. Thanks you guys for this amazing experience!!

Great experience, tasty, but short

My wife and I really enjoyed this new, dark experience. It was refreshing to be able to concentrate on other senses, rather than your sight. It was also a chance to really dedicate the time to my partner and the food. It was very tasty and at the same time very interesting, trying to figure out what the courses consisted of. I would recommend to include the wine menu. The only downside was that the event finished rather quickly, which is why you needed to hurry with finishing off your courses and the wines. Extending the event to three hours would be even better.

From check-in/booking to closing, everything was smooth and relaxed. It was very interesting to experience the food and the other people at the table in complete darkness. Pleasant reception, pleasant service, pleasant animation. Excellent food, which in our case was colored ash ;)

Best experience to spice up your evening!

I had a blast! The time flew by so fast, I was really sad when it ended & will for sure go there again! The food was amazing, the entertainment program so amusing, background music really relaxing. All in all couldn’t ask for a better evening. Try it, you won’t regret it!

I was unsure about eating in the dark at first, but I changed my mind. Dinner in the dark is a new, unique experience. Everything is pitch dark, you need to feel where everything is on the table and you have no idea how the restaurant looks. Mitja was very professional, kind and super fun.

I had one of the funniest experiences with some of my friends. Didn't expect so much fun, actually I didnt expect anything. The food was OK, but trivia and challenges were super fun. Spoiler alert don't wear white shirt for this one.. haha
