The food is really good and tasty, prices middle range, but the service is really slow. Do not even try to come on Sunday, as you will wait for 2 hours to get the main dish and another hour for dessert. They serve too many guests, even they do not have capacity to cook for so many people with different dishes.
Always keep an eye on the bill, as there is possibility they charge you something you did not eat. And when you tell the waiter about a mistake they do not appology for this.

One of our favourite restaurants outside Ljubljana. They take pride in locally sourced ingredients. Expect varied seasonal offerings.

We had company dinner in this restaurant as it looked good and we like to try something new. Everything started as it was too crowded and there is not enough parking places available for all the guests so some of them had to park on the field (grass and mud). Later we had to help some drivers and push them out from the mud!!! We booked a room as we were a group of around 20 peoples, ended up with three stranger peoples in the room which were shouting a lot! We gathered at 8pm inside, the first meal which was surprise from the kitchen came at 9pm. The soup came around 9:45 pm and main dish came at 10:30pm. Even slow food is faster than this!!! Also we saw that the food was waiting for us as it was colapsing. The dessert came at 11:30pm. We all waited for the food a lot! So as a group I wouldn’t recommend, not sure how is with “a la cart” food. However sadly it was the first and the last time here for me and a few other peoples.

This is the second time I visited this restaurant. Very very friendly staff! On this occasion we celebrated a birthday. So we had a slow food menu. All the dishes were so delicious, especially my main dish: veal livers with mushrooms. Unforgetable! :) Hats off to this place :)

One of the most well known restaurants with long history and changes during it.
About history you can read at another web site but today this restaurant is mix of new trends and old traditions even seen in interior design. We were here with friends and we have ordered prepared menü based on autumn chestnuts.
We started with a little paté from horse meat, cooked pig tongue and pork brawn. To be honest that were on average level, with home made bread, which made final taste a little bit better.
You can not miss with liver in all shapes - delicious!!! We had polenta beside and chicory salad with warm potatoes and bacon. For angels.
Other dishes were full of duck filet, chestnut purée with cooked vegetables, nice, tasty and well served.
Also dessert as persimmon purée with chocolate mousse, cream and raspberries on top, than orange cake, some offered desserts were not available anymore. Very acceptable but nothing special, so you can be sure that you will not be disappointed.
Atmosphere in this restaurant is very nice and domestic, so you will enjoy if you like kitchen of your grandma’s with ingredients and serving from Masterchef TV show.

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years as part of a couple or with larger groups of friends and family. I have always been happy with the food and the pleasant service even if, at times, there has been a fairly long wait.
I am pleased to say that the food is just as good and the service (at least on my last visit) was prompt. I think a new generation has taken over. I had the delicious veal livers with mushrooms and polenta and my husband had the roasted veal, also excellent. If I have one tiny criticism it is that maybe there should be occasional changes to the menu at least for regulars but I suppose this is a case of 'if it aint broke, don't fix it'. Highly recommended.

In the shade of a migthy trees we spent a very pleasent summer evening. Home-growth vegetables have truly unique taste. Food was served us with humor end smile and with their own bottle of vine from Vinakoper. Exellent flavors from starters to desserts.

Their slogan is "Domače, malo drugače" which means "Homemade/local, but with a little twist". They produse their own vegetables, they take care of seasonal diversity and they tace care of traditional slovenian cuisine!

I've been there for two different occasions last week. In both cases food was delicious. We tried soups, different meets, salads. No complaints. At first occasion the restaurant was empty and we were served quickly, on second occasion the restaurant was full which made a little problem as it took almost two hours between being served the soup and the main dish. Despite that, I recommend it to everyone. And not to forgot - staff is very professional on one side and with a good sense for humor on the other.

Being a regular guest and a local I need to write something about this place as well. We are usually coming here for Sunday family lunch but also on other occasions. We have been here last Sunday and the conclusion was that everything is still very tasty, very good, nice and good service…..if you consider this as a traditional Slovenian restaurant with local dishes which have some modern touch you should definitely pay them a visit. Meat dishes are perfect, Roasted liver with chanterelles are superb, lamb (if available) is tasty too. Wine list is not on the highest level, but it doesn't really matter. I will definitely stay a regular guest here and I know that I will enjoy every visit.
