...but not on Sundays since the place is closed then. However, what Kopač is offering are typical dishes a Slovenian family would order for a weekend lunch: beef or mushroom soup, roast (veal or pork), potatoes (baked or "fried" - boiled poattoes, chopped, sauteed with onions and lard) and the king of Kopač cuisine - fried chicken. A cream cake... More

Kopac is a traditional restaurant a few kilometres away from Ljubljana (you have to follow the old road to Brezovica). They are well known for their Sunday roast and fried chicken. The portions are generous and the food is cooked in a traditional way. The service is OK and the prices are a bit above average.

If you are into local cuisine and know how food should taste like when prepared properly, then don't bother. If you're interested in fried chicken, then go for it. It's definitely better than KFC. My experience: our waiter was rude and arrogant (for no apparent reason) as well as incompetent. when we arrived (we had previously made a reservation) the... More

Is an old restaurant, offers tipical slovene food and wines. We went there few times and everything was ok, the fried chicken is a good choice. Staff is friendly and nice, prices normal.

When going to Kopac, all you must eat is fried chicken. The best one in town! Or if you are desiring fried chicken, this is a place to go. Ots run by family and the service is very good. Very good value for money.

You must stop here if visiting Ljubljana. It's about a 10-15 minute taxi ride outside the city, but worth it. They have Slovenian food, and serve the best fried chicken in all of Slovenia. The staff is tremendously friendly and so very proud to share their food with guests.

Thank Jason R
