Educational restaurant/brewery/winery/bakery/cafe/hotel... for students - Biotehnical Institute. Restaurant is really nice, open kitchen, high level service and food. Their craft beer is good and is changing each 3 months. You can have a peak into small brewery and wine cellar in the basement. Great place...for students, to get needed "field" education, great place for guests.More

Place where you can really sit and relax. It’s a little bit out of Ljubljana center but worth of visit. Great service and great coffee I can honestly say one of best coffee places in Ljubljana! There is a girl @happinessbycoffee (instagrma) and she really...loves her work in caffe! And there is a restaurant next to it. Its a students school restaurant but food that they serve is on a different level.More

We have been visiting Kult316 between restaurant week, autumn edition. This is a house, where students are learning and practicing. Very nice concept which help them to have a practical part between studying. There is an open kitchen too, so If you have a problem...with that, take a note. Between this RW, It was the first time that I eat meat of guinea hen filet. Amazing prepared and very tasty with a combinations of puree from celery and potato. Yummy. I really recommend this restaurant for every day meal, lunch or dinner for business meetings. Prices are lower than in other high level restaurants, but food is on the same or higher level. Enjoy like we did.More

I went to Cult 316 with my business partners. The ambient is nice and the food are very tasteful, only the service is a little bit slowly. They have good home made beer.

It's actually a school, a caffe, restaurant and hotel all in one. The ambient is nice, the waiters are usually very friendly, service is fast and the prices are well worth it. I recommend ice coffee and their homemade ice tea.

We were visiting Kult316 for restaurant week. It was very refreshing to see all the young students serving food and sharing their knowledge about it. All of them were very professional and they explained well meals and their pairings with wines. The menu consisted of...4 courses, first one being sheep curd with trout eggs, cold herb soup with radishes and olive oil, following marinated asparagus with delicate dough, poached and dried egg yolk, hazelnut mayonnaise and balsamic syrup. Appetizers were mild, tasty, with sweet-savory touch. Main dish was fillet and neck of wild boar, white bacon of Karst pork, peas puree with wild garlic, sauce with blackberries, fried brussels sprouts and wild garlic oil paired with very tasty red wine. Meat was so tender and all of the tastes complemented well. I like that desert was not the size of two bites, and that I had time to enjoy in it. It was crispy pastry, rhubarb compote with raspberries, white chocolate foam with elder, dehydrated raspberry and at the end, the waitress sprayed maraschino spray on top of it. There was an option for vegetarian menu too (only main dish differed), however we haven't tried it. Also, I have seen people commenting on open kitchen where students cook. Yes, it is there, but we were seated around the corner, so did not manage to observe dishes being made. So if you do want to observe open kitchen, I would suggest to emphasize it when making a reservation. All in all it was tasty and I would recommend anyone to come here for a lunch, a meal during the restaurant week or just visit them for homemade beer (we saw that they make it, but didn't manage to try it out just yet).More

We visited this place 2 times during event 'Teden restavracij', in spring and fall. We loved their food. Service is nice also, they are very attentive and kind. Students are serving in the restaurant but they are very professional and skillful. Atmosphere is modern and...romantic. They have great food for vegetarians too. We recommend it.More

Went there with my friend for a nice lunch. That day they had outdoor cooking, so we got smoked chicken breasts. The flavor was amazing. Good service, with a profesional style, good location (outskirt of Ljubljana). Best value/money in town.

We visit this place for a lunch. They offer meat and vegetarian lunch for good price. Food is prepared by cook student trainees and also served. Portions are small and dishes are very tasty and nicely decorated. Must try.

The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. They have an open kitchen where there are students working and learning. Students are also working in service, they present the dish they serve you, i thought that was great. Plating is esthetic and dishes are put together very...nicely. They also have a great choice of wine. Overall it was a great experience with some delicious food. I would reccomend visiting it.More

It a tourist-culinary-educational facility, where students and students of catering and tourism courses will test their skills in practice and on purely authentic guests. The restaurant with an open kitchen is elegant with mosquito nets, stays, gloves, lights and students, which are constantly stacked, aligned,...arranged and serve. At each walk, the waitress presented a dish that was part of the tasting menu. The dishes were greatly served and exceptional taste. We definitely come back. :-)More

Kult316 is situated at the north end of Ljubljana, called Šentvid. It is placed in a new building, but you might struggle finding parking space as there is a lot of schools and offices in neighbourghood. Restaurant is in basement but fairly said it is...situated as in groundfloor. Kitchen it is wide opened (no wall, not even glass one) to nearly all the visitors. All decor is in chocolate brown and beige and that pleased the eye. All the stuff, except supervisors, are student of culinary school. I took daily menu - four course dishes. And the prices: one dish it is 7 EUR, two are 8 EUR, three 9 EUR and four 10 EUR. - bargin even for small villages. Service is quick and well educated. Do try that place, iz is worthy!More

Original and very tasty food, good house wine, friendly stuff, pleasant space, and the best ratio between price and what I get. If you eat a lot, maybe servings are a little bit small.
