Czech food done right, and Czech beer too!
So yeah, it's really good czech food (both the fried/heavy kind, and alternatives), done just right, as well as a remarkably good selection of czech beers.
The place is - kinda sorta - a beer hall, with a long table down the middle, and a couple of smaller tables around the sides. It's all modern-y though, and clean, and doesn't smell of beer 😜
It's out of the way, and not really worth the trip from downtown (not because it's bad. Lords no. It's more that if you're downtown, there are other - many many other - options)
The bottom line - well worth it...

Very interesting place with good selection of Czech beer and quite good offer of Czech cuisine. The interior is not very big, but tastefully designed. Price for food is slightly higher than I would expect, but Ursynow district tends to be expensive. I had smažený sýr (fried cheese) and it was very tasty. I especially liked the homemade tartar sauce, even though it doesn't taste Czech at all.

Sitting inside for dinner with my wife, sipping small-brewery Czech beer, we felt as if transported to a modern, urban bistro in a local district of Prague. The first thing striking upon entry is the design - a combination of black and yellow, very well mixed, nothing left to chance. Huge, raised tables in the middle with smaller ones to the sides - place for large, loud groups of friends and smaller, intimate parties.
The menu is right what we expected after having visited the Czech Republic numerous times - lots of marinated and grilled dishes. We settled for a hermelin (very good), chicken wings (decent, but a bit dry) and a mix of salads with salmon (decent, though not very creative) - all of them a bit expensive for the smallish portions, plus the Beherovka Bomb cocktail followed by a number of light and dark beers.
Pleasant, attentive service, food delivered quickly. Good beers and the pads on the table showed a map of Czech breweries that the owners selected to source beer from. Overall very pleasant, and once they improve on the food, I’d be happy to give a perfect score.

Theoretically open till 11PM but at 10:12PM couldn't get anything to eat. Huge disappointment, apparently in Warsaw one has to call ahead to make sure food is served in hours indicated as opening hours. Beware.

We waited for 15 minutes until anyone took notice we actually were there. If it hadn't been for the check previous customers had left, noone would've noticed us. When they did, we waited another 15 minutes for anyone to pick our order, which they didn't. That's greatly dissapointing.

8 Czech beers on tap, Smaženy syr and hranolky with tatarska omačka got me there.
The inside of the Vyčeska is rather dark, with lamps lighting the tables, what makes a cool atmosphere. And even cooler with the air conditioning in the restaurant.
The service consist mostly of young women who are kind and smile at you.
Recommended place for a friends meeting and Czech cuisine.
Na zdravi!

Went for a Sunday lunch. Ordered fried cheese, the portion was small, taiste - nothing like a proper Czech Smažený sýr, instead of tartar sauce I got some salad from mushrooms, cucumber and eggs with lots of mayo. Only one good thing about the bar it's very friendly staff. So never again.

Vyceska is a Czech bar/restaurant in the southern outskirts of Warsaw. It is certainly far off the tourist track and I was taken their by a Czech colleague from work.
The menu contains several traditional Czech meals but beware, the menu is only in Polish. For a starter I was persuaded to try the Utopenec which was basically a cold spam sausage. It wasn’t great but I was advised it was supposed to taste like that ! I should have stuck with my first choice of the Potato Pancakes ( Bramborak – czeski smakolyk ) !
For the main meal I had the fried cheese ( Smazeny Syr ) which was served with a small portion of chips and a dish of tartar sauce. The cheese was excellent. My colleague’s Steak looked pretty good too.
However, the main attraction of Vyceska is the Czech beer. They don’t serve any of the traditional Czech brewing giants but instead have 8 beers on tap from small or micro-breweries. Maps of the Czech Republic with the location of all the breweries in the country are helpfully placed on each table. We started with the Svijansky Rytir which was a very nice lager, followed by the Valasek IPA which was absolutely superb. Whilst I stayed with the IPA my colleagues sampled the Koutsky next, another Pils type lager which was also declared to be very good.
Czech firewaters such as Becherovka and Slivovice are also available.
The service at Vyceska was very good and the all the staff we meet spoke good English.
I would be happy to return to drink more of the Valasek IPA !
