It’s not easy to find this place, it’s not by the street but deeply hidden in the park. Not only location of the restaurant is exceptional but food which they serve here is worth to try. The cuisine is polish with modern twist. We’ve tried...beef tartare and polish cheese selection as our starter, both were extremely good! If you’re a meat eater you 'll not be disappointed (my personal favorite was duck). The Green Bear is really worth to discover.More

This was our second visit to Zielony Niedzwiedz. On the first one we didn’t get the best of tables (close to the door and kitchen), so our experience was so-so, however we decided to give it a second chance and booked for our anniversary dinner....I wouldn’t say it was worth it. The food is good, but it’s not exceptional. It’s a decent fare you’d get in a number of other places in Warsaw. We had a cold beetroot soup (chlodnik) which was good not great, dumplings with groats and cheese which were probably the best dish of what we have chosen and a hamburger, which wouldn’t make my Warsaw top 10 (average, a bit overcooked). They also served an amuse bouche consisting of pate, some other spread, picked cucumbers and bread selection. None of the breads were homemade and I’d assume at this level (or aspiring to it) they should serve at least one own variety. Pate was really good, though. the drinks were quite disappointing. They are indicating a broad wine selection but it turned out on the spot they didn’t have even one non alcoholic variety and not even a single non alcoholic beer. These days, non alcoholic drinks (or even fill parings)are a standard in any bigger or higher positioned restaurant. So if you are pregnant or wish to come by car and not be destined to water, reconsider. The service average at most, the waiter who served us were at best neutral but not welcoming or engaged. Also, despite a booking in advance and a request for a GOOD table outside to wipe out the bad experience from the 1st visit, we got a table at the pavement line, which seemed more like an arrangement of a garden furniture and didn’t have any climate, not to mention, there were much better tables closer to the restaurant and not in the middle of the passerby walk lane. Overall, technically a good central location in a park, technically a wide selection of wines, supposedly a decent menu, whilst we left disappointed and won’t be giving it a third try, many better places in Warsaw available.More

I suspect that not many people know about this gem of a place, albeit it's just a 10 min walk from old town and central station. The place is alway impeccably clean, the staff courteous; frankly is the best culinary experience I've had in the...capital and I eat out often. When you're in Warsaw, be sure to check it out.More

Thank you for your visit and beautiful option, which gets us in hard coronavirus times. Although you can't visit us now, we've started preparing take-out and delivery dishes. We can say that now not only our guests it's 10 min walk from downtown but also...More
