Friendly athmosphere. Great place for an evening meeting 😊 Interesting lectures about travelling. Reasonable prices. Kitchen open all the time.

We just stumbled into this place and fall in love. It has a travellers hut atmosphere. With people playing guitar. Great variety of good and quite cheap craft beers. Downstairs its like a wine cellar. Good for groups as well lonely travellers.

Could be too crowded sometimes for the "lecture/meeting" so better to come earlier if you want to seat. Questions from the audience are always welcome, so you if thinking about moving/travelling - best place for first-hand advice.
Though once we left in the middle of event as announced topic of Remote working in Asia become a story of how many ladies he spent time there, all with pictures :)
By the way, interesting choice of beers

I have been several times in Południk and I really like it.
It's the right place to gather with friends or with colleagues after work.
The place is cozy. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed and relaxing.
Recommended especially when you don't feel like going to posh/pretentious places.
Guys, it's NOT a proper restaurant. It's a very nice pub, where you can also eat something.

The cafe organizes evening lectures with various travelers who share their experiences. Unfortunately the place is crowded so you need to get there about an hour to 45 min. early if you want a place to sit. Good creamy lattes and selection of beer. Would not recommend the crepes - not fresh, reheated.

I'm coming here usualy in the evenings when guests are presenting their travel photos and histories. Listening to it it's nice to have a beer or tea, plus piece of delicious pie or some toasts. Generally it's pretty nice.

Poludnik Zero is famous for slideshares from journeys, organized free of charge by famous and non-famous travellers. It's truly a unique place in that sense. However, I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating anything there (especially during those presentations, the place is packed!).

Friendly atmosphere, great beer. The place only offers snacks so it's not the best choice to have a dinner, but a great place to talk or play some boardgames (of your own).
There are a lot of tourism-related lectures being held weekly, but they are all in polish, so I would only recommend it if you speak polish.

Holding travellers' meetings and slide shows almost everyday the place is well known and popular. It feels inside like a multi-room apartment in old tenement house. The light is dim, there is a stove in a corner of a cozy "living room". The atmosphere is fine but the menu is short and very simple due to lack of a proper kitchen. There is a wide selection of good Polish craft beers yet no draughts. Prices seem exagerrated for this kind of establishment. Nevertheless, I really love the place.
The entrance is hidden in old building gate close to police station - do not make a mistake when entering!

I've been to Poludnik Zero many times, and always loved the atmosphere and interior.
Staff is very nice and easy-going, beer is quite cheap and original (there are many to choose, including cool banana Cornelius and honey beers), food looks nice (though I haven't tried yet).
Perfect place to chill out, to talk with friends, to drink something or eat lunch.
The only drawback is that the temperature inside is too low therefore jackets or thick sweaters are the most. And that's the thing they should work on while it makes time spent in Poludnik less comfortable.
Apart from that - I love the place.

Was in Warsaw for Poland v Scotland at football in March 2014, and having visited Warsaw in 2008, I was not impressed with the night life in the old town what so ever, and after asking around I was told to head to ul. Wilcza, and especially Poludnik Zero Cafe.
A real blink and you would miss it place (there is a small sign outside, but the only thing you see is a small side door).
For a Monday night it was surprisingly busy, yet not crowded (there seemed to be a lot of people in the many halls), and at first we thought it was dead, yet after 15 or so minutes we were really enjoying being away from the hustle and bustle of the old town, and could easily have spent all night here.
Defiantly not a tourist trap and very well worth hunting down.
We were staying near by in the Polonia Palace on the main road through Warsaw, and was less than 5 minutes walk away (near Palace of Science and Culture).

This cafe / restaurant / gathering spot is on Wilcza street, right off the Marszałkowska main drag, on the first floor of a traditional Warsaw apartment building (plus, there's a fantastic brick basement area). It's a relaxed, Himalayan-inspired gathering spot for internationally-oriented travelers with concerts and meetings on weekend evenings. The food and drinks are Polish-based and international and very reasonably priced, all of it served by fun young people with a Brooklyn vibe. It's my favorite pit stop!
