If you are in the mood for Polish food which is not pierogi, then this is the place to go conveniently located in Nowy Świat in the heart of Warsaw. I tried the roasted duck with cranberry compot. The highlight of the experience was not...only the food but the equally warm and caring waiter - Fiodor - who took care of every minute detail e.g. which wine would go along with the duck etc. If you ever visit Warsaw, go to this restaurant without even thinking twice. You will not be disappointed !More
I was looking for authentic Polish cuisine. 'Specjaly regionalne' restaurant was a perfect choice!
We went there for lunch and sat outside. Very helpful waitress took our order with a smile (wearing a mask; I am grateful all restrictions are in place). As we weren't...that hungry, we decided to go for traditional soups: flaki, rosol and zur w chlebie - all of it was 10/10. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor - for the first time I didn't have to ask for extra salt and pepper.
We finished it off with some smalec and dumplings stuffed with duck and cranberry sauce.
The only minus was our Aperol Spritz - too watery. I hope bartenders will measure parts accordingly next time as in my opinion too much soda water was added.
Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to try authentic, Polish food.More
Due to my eating restrictions, like gluten/ dairy free and as my choice no meat, eating at a traditional polish cuisine can be very tricky..
I had my cod fish custom made up to my requirements. Customer service excellent.
We followed the advice of the waitress for a good meal. As I was hungry the waitress advised me a big plate that I thought it was for 2 but it was for 1 and I enjoyed it greatly. All the dishes are Polish and...really regional. At the end I was stuffed.More
