We managed to get a table even though it was a Saturday evening and several bigger parties were going on. Wonderful atmosphere in cosy classic Polish surroundings. The service was perfect. Really nice and listening and gave good guidelines and explanations on the different dishes....We started with sharing the classic tartar prepared at the table and cepelinies/dumplings. All top flavors, but big portions. Thereafter we shared the minced meat cotelets, which really are a MUST and a classic local dish. Great consistency and filled with a lot of wonderful spices. And the slowly braised beef cheeks which were absolutely wonderful as well. All ‘paired’ with a nice bottle of Primitivo. Looking at the other tables there were a lot of interesting cakes on the desert menu, but we didn’t have room for more. Highly recommendable. We will be backMore

This place is a nice room. The food was okay and it was hopping. No intimate meal here. You bring your friends and start with vodka shots. They do a show with steak tartare so if you are into that, you need to order it....Kind of unique among Warsaw restaurants. My complaint was our waiter was just forgetful. He had to be reminded several times of dishes or drinks that were ordered but never arrived. When the bill arrived, one of the forgotten dishes was on it so we had to point it out to him and he did not seem too pleased. Anyway, we got it sorted out.More

Attending a conference in Warsaw and we were looking for a place to accommodate a party of 6 with traditional Polish food. One of our party is from Poland so we had a good judge! The food was delicious, the atmosphere delightful, and service first...rate. Dining in Warsaw is inexpensive (for Americans) but it's no bargain if the food is not good. Stary Dom is amazing and you are missing out if you don't have the steak tartare!More

Restaurant decoration and athmosphere is very nice, its fine with all table clothing etc but without being fine dining. Staff very polite, joking with the kids and having a chat with all of us. And of course, most important, food is very good.

Another fantastic visit to this traditional Polish restaurant. This was my second time and experience was great. Our host Daniel, was very knowledgeable and confident describing all the dishes, there was no hesitation with his explanation. I can highly recommend. See you next time👏🏻

We have already arrived with my mum straight from the airport. We were looking for some Polish cuisine and that was thw best choice. Whole staff and the Owner were very friendly and humble. Me and my mum started with beef tartare and salad following...with pork schnitzel and a rabbit. Amazing taste, beautiful presentation. Wine was gorgeous as well as Polish liquor. Strongly recommended. Next day we just bobbed in for a beef tartare, a beef carpaccio and chanterelles mushroom pasta... amazing. The best service and music. If you want to try Polish cuisine just come.More

Excellent food, excellent service, beautiful restaurant and exceptional exceptional. An additional comment for the guy that attended us which unfortunately I don’t know the name: excellent service and very good talker. We change ideas about the current situation in Poland and Portugal, to get the...to the conclusion that despite the distance, we have some points in common. I do recommend the Story Dom.More

I was half lost after a walk in a park and literally searched for the nearest decent restaurant: wasn't I lucky. This is a gorgeous, refined place that redeemed pierogis for me. The dessert was also very good and the coffee was decent (one can't...have everything). I also appreciated that folk Polish music was playing while I ate my lunch. At first I thought the staff was being cold, to be frank, which I blamed on my walk-in-the-park outfit but still left me disappointed. However, they gave me a pastry to go when I left which made me forget about it.More

Hi ! Yes, about 10 - 15 mins by car, I don't think it's walkable, really, as traffic moves fast in Warsaw. Get a cab !
