Stary Dom is an absolute gem that has the trifecta of great atmosphere, outstanding food and highly-talented wait-staff. We thought we made a reservation on line but they did not have it when we checked in. The gentleman at the front was able to provide...us a table for 2 if we were able to finish our meal before his next reservation came for that table. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed and we loved the music track in the background- great ambiance. We had a lovely starter of veal pierogis, cooked to perfection and so flavorful our main meals were venison in wine sauce and turkey with fruit type compote- both were superb, I can't decide which entrée was better so sharing was in order. I had a lovely Sangiovese and my husband had a very robust Baltic Porter. Our waiter never missed a beat ensuring we had time to eat while at the same time checking on us for any additional needs. Would have loved to stay for dessert but we knew the clock was ticking on our table and we were fortunate to get it on a busy Thursday night. Don't miss this one if in WarsawMore

Amazing Polish restaurant! Do yourself a favour, take a taxi, and go have lunch or dinner in this fabolous place. I never expected such high quality food. Let alone, never thought Polish food can be that delicate, high level and full of deep flavours

Beautiful design, wonderful ambiance and great food! Tasty, reinterpreted borsch, yummy pirogi, large portions. Fun to watch the chef make beef tartare by hand right by the table!

I had a dinner with business partners in this restaurant. When entering the restaurant you immediately feel the authentic feeling in the restaurant. For a dinner locals made the orders and for starter there was a variety of polish dishes with a highlight when chef...created a tartare next to table. For a main course i took some meat and nice cake for a dessert. Food and drinks was good overall, but 5 stars is coming from great experience including great service, fantastic miljoe and atmosphere. Beautiful ambiance, lovely music (though it could’ve been a tad quieter), excellent food and most friendly and copmetent staff. We were treated like the most important guests there, our questions regarding food were answered to the fullest. The fish, the meat and veggies were VERY...tasty and perfectly cooked. This is a fabulous restaurant with a homey but exciting atmosphere. The food was excellent, in fact it was the best we had on our trip to Warsaw and we visited quite a few nice restaurants. You can be dressy or casual here but just...walking into this restaurant feels special. We noticed quite a few tables with kids, so I'd say that children are welcome here. In my opinion, it's a very good restaurant. I had read a lot of reviews about this particular restaurant, but the reality was much better. Everything we ordered was excellent. Food portions were large and delicious. The customer service was amazing and the atmosphere was...great. Nicely decorated because of Christmas accompanied by a very good music at the right volume. The prices were normal. Although it is far from the center, getting to and from the restaurant was very easy. I highly recommend.More

My highlight of the meal was the beef tartare - prepared at the table by the chef, and seasoned to perfection! Definitely coming back for this dish the next time I’m in Warsaw!

It’s a lovely place but unfortunately the main dishes we’re disappointing.. The quality and choice of mains was not up to expectations.. lovely deco and staff attentive but food could be much better for the price they charge ..

I will never go back to Warsaw without a meal at Stary Dom! After a local business meeting we asked our host for a suggestion for a “Traditional Polish Meal”, and he quickly sent us a ink to the Stary Dom restaurant. Call it jet...lag, or distraction from an intense business meeting or just plain dumb, but we didn’t think of reservations until we were on our way in a taxi! Luckily, and thankfully, a resourceful young lady was able to squeeze us in on a full night! The service was perfect the staff polite and helpful while we were ordering and the food was simply amazing! My only regret was my hotel room didn’t have a microwave for our leftovers! I can’t wait until the next time when I’ll pace myself and leave room for their desserts!More
