Small portions but tasty and fresh. Prices similar to others in the neighbourhood. Nice and friendly staff. They have live music in the evening.

The place has great ambiance but service and food were overrated! It could have been a romantic dinner for us with nice background music and history, but inattentive and indifferent services spoiled our evening!

Great place with the spirit of old Warsaw. First of all you can taste surprising interpretation of typical Warsaw recipes like "flaki" or "zimne nozki". Secoundly you have impression that even working there staff is super old-fashion in a really good way - what is...super nice. In every step interior design reminds you good old times so you can feel really good and cozy. Highly recommend it.More

I was so happy when I finally decided to eat here. A three course lunch is only 19zł and you can hardly get a McDonald's trash meal for that. Here the food is carefully created and plated. Traditional Polish cuisine with modern twists and more....Gorąco polecam!More

"Gruby Josek" before World War II was famous for its excellent cuisine and excellent moonshine. In the literature it was described as a cult place where you could meet representatives of the elite but also where the famous mafiosi "Tata Tasiemka" and Doctor "Łokietek" dined....The current "Gruby Josek" is an interesting concept with typical Polish cuisine and also with a few dishes of Polish Jews (in principle there is no difference) and the design refers to pre-war Warsaw. The place can be attractive for tourists. Dishes are quite greasy and large.More

The food was really on point. We ordered steak tartare, tasty and balanced, we really liked the dressing and that was well knife-cut. Then roasted chicken, super tender and with an exquisite Demi-glasse and the beef ribs, succulent and falling from the bone. The service...was really good! Our waitress was very professional and kind! She thought about everything we could possibly need. Only suggestion: you could have better espresso eheh We really appreciated everything! Definitely suggested! Very fair quality-price ratio.More

Such a great prewar history...who have not heard of Gruby Josek at Gnojna street.... Unfortunately the new Gruby Josek on Elektoralna is not that great. Food - not very tasty. I had fish and it was dry and with no spices. I had a table...upstairs in the back room and there was no airconditioning, which on a hot July evening felt terrible. Everybody was sweating profusely. Also there was someting wrong with the amplifiers upstairs. The stuff could not fix the problem.More

Great elegant place with class but also very Cosy feeling. Fantastic kitchen with awesome dish presentation, delicious deserts and cocktails. Friendly and polite staff and to top it all up - very nice retro Warsaw style polish music in the background and on the weekends...life band :) I recommend for lunch / dinner / drinks with friends/ business meeting or a date :)More
