A good meal of tomato noodle soup, mashed potatoes and beef goulash but it was the place that mattered. This is where Chopin supposedly loved to dine and the cellar was preserved from the destruction that happened to Warsaw. Service was not great but enjoyed the setting.

A very wide selection of Polish food: freshly prepared and served quickly by very smart, efficient and polite staff. It was quiet when we visited for lunch but was really tasty. Staff speak English. The setting of an underground vault is really pleasant allowing you to have space to yourself without being in the company of other groups. There is... More

It is a beautiful place. Apparently very popular with tourist groups. When we visited for dinner the place was busy with a wedding party and another group of tourists. The food was delicious and well prepared. The roast chicken the best ever. What marred this beautiful place was unfriendly and sullen staff. They were grumpy.

Been here for Valentine's day, very nice and cozy restaurant in the old town of the city. Warm and typical outfit inside, big choice of traditional food and, as always in Poland, big portions! I suggest one of my favourite polish dish, wątróbka (liver rolled in bacon) definitely amazing, like many other dishes! Go there!

We spent the New Year's Eve here and had a memorable evening. There was plenty of well prepared and presented food in what appeared to be genuine Polish atmosphere. It appeared that almost everybody else in the restaurant was a resident of Warsaw. Some people may find the animal skins on the walls of some of the rooms off putting.... More

Cabbage and mushroom dumplings. Delicious. Great portion for $6 appetizer, satisfied that I got a taste of original flavour.

We come here quite often to eat and we always order the same: the meat platter for two hungry people. But we always share with 3-4 people, because it is just too much. The service here is very kind and thoughtful, we received a small wódka in the end on the house. The food is exquisite and there is just... More

We were looking for an authentic restaurant. This place was empty when we arrived. It's located in the cellar of a big building. The waiter was really warm and friendly. We had Okocim beers and an enormous platter for 2 hungry people. It was huge, meat feast, all sorts: bacon, chicken, lamb, goose, pork... Excellent.

We visit Poland regularly, and over the past 10 years Honoratka is one of the 10 top restaurants. First as you enter (not easy to find) you walk down into a cellar that consists of several rooms. The cellar is very nice. Next is the music, consisting of mainly Polish from the 70s and 80s. The menu prices are below... More
