We had the Gran Reserva tasting menu and the loco wine pairing on a Friday night. It was one of the best meals we have eaten for a long time. The menu was imaginative, perfectly executed and delightfully served to us. The wine pairing was impressive, carefully chosen to complement each dish and explained in an engaging friendly way to us. Our waitress was knowledgable about each dish, super attentive and friendly. The restaurant was comfortable and easy to reach from the old town. It certainly wasn't cheap but we felt it was very good value for money and would highly recommend a visit.

My husband and I visited in December as we were in Poznan for his birthday. We ordered off the A La Carte menu and started with a beer and a glass of sparkling wine for me, which was recommended by the somelier (after I told him I like a dry Cava) and was crisp and delicious. Both courses of the meal were delicious, the service was impeccable. Most of the other diners we're enjoying one of the tasting menus, so we got to see a selection of the items we didn't choose!
Although some people have pointed out it was expensive for Poland, the price we paid was extremely reasonable for the quality and service we received, especially given that it was on par with some of the Michelin star restaurants we've visited in the past. It was the easiest tip we have given, and we have even said we would fly back to Poznan just to eat here again.

This was a surprise because it was a total experience that blew our heads off.
The food was very tasteful with many exciting flavours and with wines that were just excellent.
The chef studied at the Paul Bocuse and apparently got it, nice French food at a very high level!
We where well taken care of through the night, very accommodating and friendly team paying great attention to details

DISAPPOINTMENT - High quality, but there should also be a great atmosphere. The food is exquisite, but there is no choice, everyone eats the same thing, so why does the waiter give you a card? Tables too close to each other.....We sat in the aisle where waiters were running back and forth.....rowdy. The owner moved our friends who were sitting next to us to another room...... We paid PLN 983 for 2 people... For such a HIGH price, not only should the food be excellent, but also the atmosphere intimate, cozy and pleasant , Unfortunately. As for the food, it's more style than substance, e.g. the guinea fowl is artificial, plastic, but the DESSERT is phenomenal, perfect, a dream.

This place is pretty pricey for Poland but boy oh boy does it deliver.
We had the four course tasting menu which allows as many substitutions as you want which is very unusual but an amazing feature as it actually allows you to pick what you fancy from the a la carte menu.
We had the octopus starter, the lamb and cod mains and peanut butter chocolate bar for dessert. Every dish is a work of art and also beautufuly cooked and balanced. Elsewhere in Europe you could pay 2 or 3 times the amount for food of this quality.
Unfortunately at the very end of the meal there was a mix up about the cost of a glass of wine and also the amount of tip ( I said 50zl, the waiter heard 15zl which was unfortunate as I did not realise until I got back to the apartment!) but it was very quickly resolved without argument. It wouldn't of happened if they just published the cost of the glasses of wine but hey-ho, it's a minor point.
Overall it cost us 460zl or around £85 for the meal for two which is not cheap but amazing value for food of this quality. Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely wonderful evening.
We had the tasting menu and the wine flight and the patience of the waitress and sommelier who explained in detail both the wine and food.
So many different dishes were just pure edible poetry. The first amuse bouche was amazing and a perfect start to an exciting meal.
It was a perfect meal from the amuse bouche to petit four.

The Michelin Guide only covers two Polish cities: Warsaw and Krakow. Restaurants in other Polish cities are not mentioned in the world’s leading fine dining guide. That‘s not really fair. There are also excellent restaurants in other parts of Poland that are worth mentioning. One of them is Muga Restaurant in Poznan.
I visited Muga Restaurant in February 2023 for two consecutive days. My first night was only at the Muga winery, officialy called „Casa de Vinos“, which is an integral part of the Muga Restaurant. I was happy to meet Lukasz Glowacki, one of the leading Polish sommeliers. Since it was late at night and the last guests were gradually leaving the restaurant, he took some time for me. We had a very interesting small talk about wine and the Polish wine market. His wine card is very extensive and clear. I really enjoyed it. As far as I remember correctly, there were six different bottles of Barolo from Piedmont (Italy) on the menu. The wine bar is really cozy. You immediately feel at ease.
The second night, I went to Muga Restaurant itself. It was a Saturday night and almost every table was occupied. So don’t forget to make a reservation in advance. I ordered „Tatar Wolowy“ (beef tartare) as starter and „Morszczuk“ (hake) as main course. Both were excellent. Of course, Lukasz Glowacki was there again and advised me on the right wine for dinner. His recommendations were amazing. Especially the Hungarian Riesling for the beef tartare was an unusual, but excellent choice.
The service from the Muga staff was excellent. Everyone was very polite and accommodating. The ambience of the restaurant is outstanding. Perhaps the best choice in Poznan for a first date. The prices are really fair, especially if you compare them to high Restaurant prices in Germany or France. In summary: It was a fantastic evening, although I visited the restaurant alone. Hopefully the Guide Michelin will soon include restaurants in Poznan. I will definitely come again.

Here you can simply eat well and because there are not so many places, you already have to reserve. There were four of us ( one vegetarian ) all chose the menu , the vegetarian variant also looked very good and probably tasted good. Very nice service with good knowledge and great wine selection. Everything is not for nothing, so by Polish standards quite expensive but for Euro earners that goes perfectly fine.-

Outstanding tasting menu, probably one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Certainly ranks equal or higher that some of the Michelin 1 stars in the U.K. The 6 course tasting menu (around £60) is fabulous, we were able to swap dishes. The Albariño at 190zl was stunning. I can’t recommend MUGA highly enough, the flavours and presentation are truly superb

Tried their smaller 7 course tasting menu. As was generally the case, the appetizers were well put together and the cerviche in particular was a flavor bomb. Otherwise, the main course turbot was also well done.
So, all in all, a nice menu, but Michelin * obliges: The menu should not just be read off, tables are usually celebrated for crumbs and now don't just throw the cutlery on the table....
Still missing Atelier Amaro ….. = real Michelin

I've been here twice - the last time just before this restaurant got one Michelin star. An award that is more than unundestandable to me in comparison what one Michelin star means in other countries.
The produce is very good, no doubt, and the chef very talented, no doubt about it again. However no dish turned out to be memorable.
The interior is ok, but very small. For that kind of (aspired) class the tables are far too close and everything seems to be somewhat crammed.
My main problem with this restaurant was the wine. They have a good selection of wines but do beware of wine pairing. You are sure to get very mediocre Polish wines there (but also very expensive and simply not worth it) and also some nonsense of "anthroposophic" wines that are meant to "shock and awe". I am really familiar with Rudolf Steiner and his anthroposophy and it has nothing to do with wine produce. In his native language I could say "es ist eine Lachnummer"...
Additionally, the wine pairing is not really what it should be as you can change anything anytime, meaning (as much as I appreciate this freedom) that there is no pairing plan at all.
The sommelier was actually quite knowledgeable and forthcoming but he made an unforgivable mistake: he offered me two wines to taste and then poured the second wine into the same glass (where, btw, I still had the first one...). So, no, thank you.
The service is quite poor and not on the level. the miserable and forced pronunciation of French terms like amuse-bouche, etc. shows how much this place is trying but not really arriving. A mysterious star...

We booked this from Ireland as a special treat and we were not disapointed . This was by far the best restaurant we have gone to in a very long time . We had the tasting menu and each course was a work of art .
All of the staff were incredibly professional and knew there products very well
I would highly recommend Muga

Beautiful and delicious dishes. Elegant service and good selection of wines. A restaurant that succeeds in combining really good food with modern cooking in a fine dining setting, without becoming pretentious.

Far from what I perceive as a Michelin experience and not at the level you experience in Copenhagen.
Small room - boring interior - one sitting close
Operation untrained
The food is ok - but probably the lowest level I have ever experienced at a Michelin restaurant

5+ for food, it was excellent. We had full testing menu with additional local caviar. Caviar itself was outstanding.
Unfortunately wine pairing was weak, despite fact that we informed sommelier about preferences for red he was mostly serving us white wine which simply wasn’t good. Most of wines were from max 1000km distance (Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, North Italy) where sun operations are just about to grow good white grapes so taste was far from perfection.
Wine pairing note: 3
So overall score is 4.
