Me and my girlfriend arrived at the restaurant at 8.30 pm and the waiter gently told us that they were going to clase at 9, but we still had our dinner and they waited for us. Really appreciated that! The service was great, one of...the best I have seen in Poznań. The place is not big, but is new and elegant. The food was really nice, with tiny imperfections but still very good, and I am an Italian who loves food and who can actually cook properly so is not easy to impress me. The prices of the main courses were absolutely right in connection of what we had, but I would say that the sweets and the soups are a bit over price related on the quality. In general I really recommend this place, especially if you want to have a chic and graceful dinner!More

Centrally located, rather modern and cosy. However, it is unsuitable for functions unless you book the hole restaurant. It is just too small. If there is an event going on it is just too noisy for other guests. Food: call me fussy but it was...rather mediocre, even though freshly prepared, nicely presented and essentially not bad. Yet it lacked finesse. We had snails in garlic-a bit overdone. The fish was thankfully not but perhaps lacked finish. Tiramisu and crème caramel were a mistake altogether. Tiramisu should have been soaked in coffee and coffee liqueur or amaretto. Instead -though nicely presented in a martini glass- it was like a piece of dry muffin lased with rather tasteless crème. Merengue desert-way too sweet. Espresso was also nothing like Italian-beans roasted way too much. Prices I would say were medium range but the service was polite and swift. Not bad altogether but I wouldn’t come back, given the choice.More

This place is famous for the best duck in Poznań and it is still very good. Other dishes coming from the kitchen are also of good quality according to other members of my family. Unfortunately, with a good duck, you need good red wine. I...took the most expensive one but it was not good. It was the worst Valpolicella Riserva i have ever drunk. Notice that reviews have been varied but I was taken along here by locals who rated this place. Food was good and service was very attentive and professional. I enjoyed my scampi in garlic cream sauce which did not overwhelm. Lot son choice for main...course but the halibut was excellent. No dessert but nice coffee. Obviously dined on a good day. I was told that Papavero should be a very good restaurant. Sorry, but the food and the service the night we visited the place was not impressive at all. Had a local soup that was quite good, but got a rib-eye steak for main course...which was unfortunately not good at all. When ordering they never asked how I wanted it cooked, but never mind that. The steak was impossible to chew, I had 1/3 of the steak and had to leave the rest. Sorry, maybe this restaurant is normally good, but I do not plan to come back and test it again.More

Papavero is a traditional old-style restaurant, for anyone who wants good local food. I came in with a local friend who recommended it, and was not disappointed. The waiter recommended the local specialty of a roasted duck with steamed dumplings. The dish was very good,...although it took them some time to serve it. The place is quiet, even though it was quite full, and the service was good and attentive. All in all we have a good time, so if you're looking for a solid local cuisine, this is the place for you in Poznan.More

Situated close to city centre, I had a business lunch and everything was perfect, tartare was delicious. Good choice of wine. Prices ok.

Been recently with my family at Papavero. The interior looks nice, old school. The waiter was very friendly and took good care about us. Down turn for me - there was just one more table to serve but it took ages before we got our...food. Big breaks between the dishes ... The food was good (definitely good meat) but nothing special though. There are better restaurants in Poznan in this price range.More

It was a real pleasure to visit this restaurant. The decor is traditional and comfortable, our choice of food was well presented and full of taste. I recommend the fish tempura, comes with a lovely side sauce. My wife had duck, which though she very...much enjoyed, needed an empty belly to finish it. But what stood out for me was the service. It was so nice to be served by waiters who know their profession. Very respectful, attentive though not intrusive, and treated us as guests and not tourists with deep pockets.Here are waiters of the old school, as they were and as it should be. My congratulations to the management for employing such pleasant staff ( and no, I'm not related to any of them!). It goes to show that the service can make or break a visit, and in this instance, it certainly made it. I would also very much suggest to try the dacquoise cake (superb).More

One of the best places to eat in Poznan, being there more than once and experienced no bad surprise, no change in food quality. Foods are delicious, selection is wide, traditional Polish soup Zurek was great to start and roasted duck served with red cabbage...and traditional home made dumplings is a must try :) Also suitable for large business lunches as they have hidden room that accomodates around 12 people at the back...More

This restaurant is perhaps one of the best in Poznań. Very good service and charming location. The food is presented always in the most attractive way. It's not cheap, but also you know for what do you pay. I recommend all the beef dishes!
