During our time in Poznań, my girlfriend and I had dinner at this restaurant, and we gotta say, our expectations were not disappointed! We arrived at Bamberka in the market square of Poznań only about 40 minutes before its closure, yet the staff welcomed us very warmly and was incredibly kind to us during our whole meal. As about the food, we tried some polish and Poznań's traditional dishes such as Bigos or potatoes with cheese, and they were all simply delicious, as well as the desserts. And the final price was great, too! We ate so much and so well... I warmly recommend the Bamberka restaurant to all travelers and tourists in Poznań!

It is fair to say that I am regular guest in this establishment. Mostly during summer time as I love to sit outside and look on the view. It is brave place as this is one of not many establishments serving “czernina”, traditional “duck blood soup”. Don’t get put off it is traditional and execution in this restaurant is up to standard. What I would suggest is a bigger portion and more solid staff. Rost duck is always fresh. Staff during years is changing like in every place but they always bubbly and chatty.
There are few good restaurants in Poznan serving Polish and Poznan cuisine but if you are visiting Poznan you should try “Bamberka “.

Wide choice of Polish and international dishes, kind English and German speaking staff, very polite and helpful. Portions are vaey generous and quality is overall good, although the duck was a bit disappointing, too strong flavour. Soups are recommended, tasty and spectacoularly served in bread. 2 courses and drink might cost 70-80ZL, 16-18 Euro

Excellent food! Please make the effort to cross the rubble (the main square is being renovated site, should be finished by Christmas 2023!!!) The waitress was very good, she explained the menu, and recommended the ‘Bambar’ goose burger in a dumpling bun, it was really tasty. At the end of the meal we ordered the Vodka selection, enjoyed them all, wish we could have purchased a bottle to take home!
Definitely recommend this restaurant, just be careful crossing the building site in the way out!

We ate here recently on our trip to Poznan. As previously mentioned this place is hidden amongst all the construction work, which must be frustrating for them as a business, but we found it easily enough in the evening.
The staff were pleasant and if anything they looked a little understaffed. Even though the place wasn’t particularly busy when we were in the service and food was a little slow.
The food was nice and your obviously paying a bit more due to the location being in the centre of the square. Lech on draught which is a decent drink.
We felt the restaurant lacked ambience. With its white walls and bright lighting it lacked the atmosphere that I’d expect in a restaurant.
Not sure I’d return, the food was Ok and it offers a wholesome menu of local food but the setting lacked a bit a soul.

The best Polish food in the heart of Poznań.
the best borscht cold soup, the best pork chops, the best gray noodles and a burger with duck and fried cabbage. I really recommend a place worth visiting, especially if you want to get to know Polish flavors ♥️🐐🐐🇵🇱

It was a very good Polish cuisine restaurant. Like in any other Polish restaurant I started with steak tartar and it was very tasty and then I followed with Russian pierogi and it was good as well. Red wine was also very good.

The experience can be summed up quickly: long wait for food, and when it comes, it is a huge disappointment. Low cooking, Maggi instant sauce... We expected typical Polish cuisine, but the menu was the worst we ate in Poznan. Too expensive for performance. This place is not recommended.

The Bamberka restaurant is located in the central part of the beautiful Old Point of Sale square, next to the scenic City Hall. Nice location, especially for the outdoor part, with many tables placed directly on the square. The menu mainly offers dishes of typical cuisine. Tried for lunch last August, the dishes tasted seemed discreet, as did the service, friendly staff but waiting times a bit 'long although the place was not full. Prices in line with the averages of the place. Overall nothing memorable, however the place is nice and the location really central.

This restaurant is the best. I tried several items on the menu, all are delicious. The pierogi is amazing. Service is also outstanding and really added to the positive atmosphere. I recommend this place to anyone who desires really great flavor.

We came here on recomendation from the tourist board. Make sure you book as its very popular. Menu offer a full range of traditional Polish fayre. Food was excellent. Well worth a visit.

We visited this restaurant amidst the chaos of the square building works, but we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and tasty and presented very nice. We only had a main and dessert and we found them both to be delicious. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back to see the difference when the building with has completed x if you want a non-alcoholic drink I can recommend the strawberry watermelon lemonade. Delicious!

We had an after-wedding party in Bamberka last weekend. The atmosphere and service are top notch. Huge portions of delicious food. All guests were very pleased. Thank you very much and we recommend it !!! We will definitely come back to Bamberka many times for lunch ♥ ️

My friends and I stopped for breakfast upon our arrival in Poznan. We were immediately welcomed with kindness and friendliness by all the staff. Excellent and varied food, tastefully furnished and very welcoming inside. A special thanks to the guy who welcomed us, very kind!
