I wanted so much to like this place but it really doesn't deserve the high ratings. Firstly it's a nice location. Secondly the menu choices are limited. Pretty much pasta with everything but the pasta was so chewy to the extreme it was unpalatable. Yes...it's a seafood restaurant but the prices are far too high. Then to the desserts. Limited choice so went for the tiramisu. Made in a small glass with absence of coffee flavour. Really? Very much a No No No..More
Amazing food! I have asked for something they didn’t have on the menu anymore and they were still able to make it for me! You come here for experience and if you come with an open mind you will be taken on a culinary journey....Don’t come with a demanding attitude if I pay I demand and you will be surprised.More
I really wanted to leave a very positive review but unfortunately I can't. The food is very nice. Not the best I've ever had but for the price 4/5. The problem was the service. They had knowledge of food they were serving but the time...they needed to do it was, to be honest, outrageous. I know it's an Italian restaurant but I did NOT expect it's as Italian that you need 2-3 hours at least from entry till payment. We waited at least 30 minutes for dinner, then another 20-30 for dessert (a little cup of tiramisu with espresso and some ice cream). Then, again, another 20-30 minutes for the waiter to pay for the bill.
If you want to spend there the whole evening than I could recommend but if you have limited time, it is certainly not the right place.More
Our first visit after re-opening in the Monopolis Arcade. Excellent food, as usual and much more intimate space, comparing to the previous location. Don’t order too much, the portions are huge. One set of food is really enough for two. Open from Thursday till Sunday.
Restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Design of restaurant is questionable. BUT taste of this food recompensates this minueses. Its excelent! I have been there with my family and even my 3 y.o. child was eating pasta like crazy. I am writing this comment and...my mouth is wathering just thinking about it.More
Well, the interior is not something great or special but the real value of this restaurant is the most important part of any restaurant - food, and that's awesome. I gave a try of three different dishes (including dessert) and each of them was at...the same, top level. The portions are really big so even people who like to eat a bit more will be satisfied. But the taste... This is outstanding. Little drops of heaven. That's only what I can say to not say too little about the food quality in Trattoria. Additionally, Italian cook and Italian waiter (who didn't speak polish at all) are adding extra flavor to the whole experience.
I heard a lot of stories about owner being rude or unpleasant to the guests - not really true. He has character and own style of being and he really wants to give true Italian food to his guests.
Oh, and don't forget to make the reservation as this is not the place where you can simply enter from the street for a dinner (always full).More
We've heard a lot about this place for some time, and finally we've decided to visit. We went there with friends - two couples, one kid.
The food was extraordinary as well as the service. My fiancee heard about the dish that was already off...the menu for some time, but they agreed to prepare it for her.More
It may not look from outside, but it is propably best Italian food in Lodz. Held by funny and direct Italian who actually speaks polish (-:. Menu changes every now and then. Must try, great experience.
