Enjoyed a lovely evening at this cozyvatmospheric restaurant with excellent service from our waiter Serafin. Our main courses of chicken and fish were very slightly overcooked

Lovely riverside restaurant with excellent food and service. Amazing value as well and lots of choice. Be sure to book a table though as it can get busy. Would definitely recommend.
Very tasty Polish food in a nice setting. We chose to eat inside as it was cool but the outside terrace looked lovely too. The waitress was very friendly and our food came promptly. I had the chicken roll with spinach and my husband had...the ribs with honey. We would certainly recommend this restaurant.More
We went last night to have our dinner with friends. We we taken by a picturesque location on the bank of the river Brda and friendly welcoming staff. We enjoyed every single dish: pork drippings with onion, rye bread and gherkins; followed by starters: pickled...herrings, plums wrapped in bacon and steak tartar! The main dish was the same for all : slow roasted pork ribs with salads and potato wedges! What a feast! Thank you! Highly recommended!!!More
Have been for dinner with a colleague, polish soup, and pork ribs very nice. Very nice the location and very good service.
We try to visit this restaurant each time we are in Bydgoszcz. The location is great, at the entrance to the bursting with attractions Mill Island. We like eating alfresco on the balcony, but this time we dined on the second floor. Rustic but stylish...interior was quite a pleasant setting. The waitress was excellent - attentive and prompt. The food was tasty and the presentation nice. We enjoyed barszcz, beef tartare, poultry liver with fried apples, bigos- hunters stew, pierogi with meat, tea and local beer . All very good.More
This restaurant is just outside of the Old Town in Bydgoszcz which we stumbled across on our walk along the river. We waited until 13.00pm for it to open and we're glad we hung around the area. We were greeted and seated by a polite...gentleman as soon as we walked through the door and sat us down with the menus on arrival. The restaurant has a warm yet old barn/farmhouse vibe with intriguing decor. We were provided appetisers when the waiter took our order which were delicious. The main course arrived and we were pleasantly surprised how delicious it is considering neither myself or my partner had eaten Polish food before! We both had dumplings which was very similar to ravioli and we couldn't have been happier. This restaurant is definitely a must if you are in the area.More
I always bring customers and friends with when visiting Bydgoszcz. Bigos was excellent, everyone enjoyed Polish food. Decor and atmosphere are worth the trip. Service could have been more professional and faster
We went on Wednesday 23rd November and booked a table for our Wedding Anniversary for 8pm on the 24th November. We were really looking forward to a lovely evening in a local restaurant celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived at 7.55pm we were met by...the waitress who was extremely rude, she said you were booked for 6pm, we said no 8pm and the Waiter who took our booking was there and confirmed it was 8pm. She showed us to our table and said we close at 9pm and stormed off, at that point we decided to leave, there was no way we could enjoy our meal with drinks in less than an hour and the rudeness of the waitress upset us. On the door it says the restaurant closes at 10pm so we were totally baffled why she decided to close at 9pm. We have travelled to Poland many times and this is the first time we have met such a rude and disrespectful waitress. We will definitely not return or recommend. Luckily we found a lovely local restaurant in the old town who were very welcoming and polite, so we were able to enjoy our anniversary.More
Three of us visited for dinner on a Monday evening. Lovely setting and atmosphere, in a traditional old Polish farmhouse vibe. Service was excellent and the food stunning. Three courses including drinks was about £15 per head. Make sure you are hungry before visiting! You...won’t be when you leave. Excellent.More
Went here on my first night as good location and some decent reviews. Seated quickly, bread came with pork fat (didn't like but personal preference) and pickled cucumbers which were great. Went for the goose and it was lovely. Really tasty and a great meal...- lovely with the red cabbage too. Was in Poland for 4 days and was my best meal. Had the apple dessert which was ok. Wish I had gone back as there was a couple of other dishes that looked great.More
Not sure where to start. I rang to book a table for five and had been informed that the restaurant if fully booked for the rest of the day but my gut instinct told me to check by myself. Upon arrival there were many free...tables and we got table with no issue which is strange as it looks like staff is not supervised properly and decide how many customers they want to serve. Normally as a starter before ordering food customers are served some lard with (bread) which my children love yet we didnt get it as they run out of bread (?). No one informed us until I ask. Strange. Food was nice, especially goose breast but meat content was small. After dinner I ordered flat white coffee but I was served cappucino with extra shot of expresso and was charged for two coffees (?). Overall it was very strange dining experience and I cant reccomend this place even though the food was lovely.More
I had a very nice dinner here at Karczma, the staff was very nice and the food was delicious! I recommend the golonka with a tall Żywiec.
We haven't been to Bydgoszcz for several years and when we finally came, we decided to take a walk in the old city centre, Wyspa Mlynska, etc. to see what changed. We had our two year old with us, and we're hoping to find some...nice, welcoming place to eat. And we definitely found it... A great summer garden by the river, very welcoming and professional staff, clean and neat surroundings, and most importantly, FABULOUS food! We were nicely surprised with a waitress bringing our little girl a crayons and colouring book so she could be occupied whilst we were enjoying our meals. Our soups, a duck, a goose and hot apple pie with ice cream and whipped cream to finish were an absolute winner. We will recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Bydgoszcz, and also it was our first, but indeed not the last time over there too!More
Lovely place with climate, traditional style with good food and drinks. Nicely located, a bit away from main square, therefore more calm (at least in November). Definitely recommended.
