Fantastic restaurant. Atmosphere - Calm, relaxing and very modern with a creative and abstract touch from paintings, cloud effect on the ceiling and a fantastic view of the kitchen. Front of house Staff - very well presented, calm and polite from the get go. Food - fantastic, each dish was well presented, balanced and just astonishing. I highly recommend in trying each dish with the recommend wine which, has been paired very well. From the basic points above, it may not provide a detailed point of view of our experience however, from the moment we were greeted into the establishment, served and leaving, it was 5/5. Food was very well timed between each serving from start to finish, served left to right along with a good knowledge about the wines and ofcourse, the general demeanour and humour of our waiter. Congratulations to the staff both front and back house. Great team work and efficient communication skills can be seen.

Best eating experience of my life

We received a recommendation from another chef to check out Scoria. We were greeted at the door, the service was first-class, the atmosphere was pleasant, but it was the food which made the experience a truly amazing one. I ordered salmon tartare, sirloin steak and ice-cream with burnt butter ice-cream. On top of that the chef brought out some stunning hors d'oeuvres and bread with the creamiest handmade butter. The biggest problem I have now is that I can't eat at any other restaurant because the quality of the food is unmatched by any other restaurant I have eaten at, anywhere in the world. You must visit Scoria if you are anywhere near Bydgoszcz. Thoroughly recommended!

Great and very calming and nice!! Although it does take a little while to get the food it's definitely worth it and you won't regret coming here. The deserts are also amazing however there are no gluten free options and it is very expensive but worth it

My wife and I have lived in Bydgoszcz for over seven years. During that time we have been to many restaurants around the city. We've had dining experiences that range from excellent, to OK, to absolutely horrible. When I use the term "dining experience," I take into account not just the quality of the cuisine, but also the restaurant's ambiance, service, plate presentations, wine list, and something as simple as being cordially welcomed. I am a firm believer in the old adage, "you get what you pay for." Sure, is Scoria the least expensive restaurant in Bydgoszcz? No, it is not. Is it the best restaurant in the city, ABSOLUTELY! Dorota and I have eaten at Scoria six or seven times since it opened. As a matter of fact, we dined there twice in the last two weeks: once with friends visiting from overseas. They were very impressed. For me, as a retired chef, the mark of a great kitchen is how the kitchen functions when the executive chef is not there. Scoria's kitchen can be easily observed because of the large window overlooking the kitchen. On every occasion we have dined there, whether Chef Pawel Stawicki was on duty or not, the kitchen produced excellent food, starting from their ever-changing "amuse bouche" which they offer at every meal, to their desserts, especially one of the best creme brulee (my non French spelling!) I have ever had anywhere in Europe or North America. It is obvious to me that Pawel has assembled a great team, and as ever good chef knows: you are only as good as your team. We'll be away from Bydgoszcz for a couple of months this summer, but Scoria will be the place where we will have our welcome back meal! One final thought: the servers and front of the house staff are true professionals, welcoming, smiling, and charming. They set the tone for your dining experience. As we say in Polska, "Smacznego!" (aka Bon Appetit!)

I’d say it’s not cheap, it’s very expensive for this city but worth of this price. The service is very profesional and know what they serve. Food quality is at it’s highest level. I’ve visited most of Bydgoszcz’s restaurants and I can say it’s the best one.

I can’t imagine you will find better food in Bydgoszcz. The team kindly stayed until we came from a performance at the opera and prepared everything we wanted beautifully including, obligingly, some plain fried foie gras off-menu. Thanks to all concerned

Great cousine and superb service!

We visited this restaurant after article in Food & Friends magazine. We had high expectations, which were even over-delivered. Scoria is a fine dining restaurant. You can find sophisticated dishes with great taste combinations. Choice of wine is also very good. You can have degustation menu (5 dishes) or make a choice out of well designed menu. I am sure that both options will work.. We were also very pleased with the service starting from waiter to sommerlier. We had also chance to talk to chef, who is approaching every table. Very nice interior with look on the Brda river is a "cherry on the cake". Certainly, it was not our last visit in this restaurant. Highly recommended for great cousine fans!

We ordered a lunch set which included 3 dishes: * hummus (outstanding, light, with lovely additions), * Scoria pizza, which was delicious, tasted like in Naples, but I would add something fresh to it, e.g. cherry tomatoes or arugula. There was only ham, cheese and mushrooms on it, the dough was thin and crispy. For dessert, pannacotta with fresh fruit. Everything was appetizing, fresh and beautifully presented. The price of the lunch set for 1 person is encouraging - PLN 65. I highly recommend it.

A restaurant which will not disappoint you when you look for a great meal in a relaxing atmosphere

Our visit to Scoria was a great experience again. It start with a pick-up service provide by the restaurant for free. It was a nice ride in a great car and on time. The dinner itself was out of this world, the octopus salad one of the best I ever had (even in Greece). All in all a top dinner with a great firework of taste. The service as usual absolutely fitting to the relaxing atmosphere, perfect. The set-up and Ambiente of the restaurant including the absolutely fitting background music, all contributes to a great evening. If you want something special in Bydgoszcz, go to Scoria, if you want some great meal in a relaxing atmosphere, go to scoria. For us the No. 1 in Bydgoszcz.

Lovely and very passionate restaurant. Each dish is crafted to perfection. Tastefully and creative composition with extreme attention to details. Excellent Polish cuisine revisited with taste The portions are generous, delicious and careful. The service is ok even if efforts can be made for the wine: at this price, the details are important and it is essential to ensure staff training I recommend even if the prices are not given

A beautiful restaurant, full of friendly and professional people. The food was delicious and the wine was perfectly matched. Before visiting the restaurant, we were offered free round-trip transportation, which is a great convenience when each guest wants delicious wine.

Beautiful food, great service, fantastic experience

Food is first class - we had the sirloin steak with Foie Gras (outstanding) and duck (fantastic). The service was great - thankyou Marta! - and the overall experience was hugely enjoyable. Highly recommended!

A wonderful new restaurant in Bydgoszcz

After a year and a half away, we returned to our apartment in Bydgoszcz for a holiday. We saw this new fine dining restaurant listed on Trip Advisor and just had to visit. The reviews were not wrong. The location, service and meal were all first class. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
