I considered giving it 3/5 given the variety of little problems,
but that wouldn't be fair considering how many far worse restaurants score over 3 or even over 4.
On my first visit i've ordered a short rib which was perfectly tender but didn't have enough salt penetrated and i didn't find a strong demi glaze to be a good alternative since each bite gets less salty when you swallow the sauce while chewing the meat.
It was covered with flowers which were hard and not that tasty.
Salad had some raw rhubarb which was too tough for a salad in my opinion.
Second visit existed of 3 courses
A good steak tartare which was a bit overseasoned for my taste with salty ingredients making it hard to taste the meat but that might be just a matter of personal preference.
between the courses i've noticed a sticker stuck to a piece of lime in my limonade resulting in it being removed from the bill.
Second course was cappelletti filled with mushrooms served with sabayonne and freshly grated truffle.
I found the sabayonne to be a bit overpowering with salt and sourness,
but that didn't make it a bad dish just worse than you would expect from a dish made with good ingredients.
after i've ordered some non sparkling water i've gotten some lightly sparkling water which was switched immediately.
Dessert was a lavender panna cotta with honey and crunchy oats which is normally a part of a 3 course lunch but it cost me only 5 PLN,
only detail i didn't like was that it had little/no sugar in it and you had to manage honey distribution throughout it manually.
Staff was kind and responsive.
they also let me in the second time after i asked a customer if she is single while i was leaving the first time.

1st time in lublin in 10 years and it is very much rrgenerating. This restaurant is defo part of the regeneration. The decor and ambience is classy. The waiter was a cool guy being attentive but not over intrusive. I was a scottish guy in a polish restaurant and the cook ( I believe his name was Kuba) came and said hello. (Nice touch). The food was on a different level. Meat tarter superb. Also had a small rabbit start thing. Magnificant. However the best was yet to come. I had gnocchi and it was the lightest and tastiest gnocchi i have ever had. Didnt need desert however felt had to. A lemon streamed bowl came out with a quite simply unbelievable desert under a meringue. So good cannot explain. Kuba take a bow as your cooking beat several Michelin star restaurants i have been. Only disappointment is i stay 2000km away so xannot visit again soon.

This place was recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint. We booked for. 3 me my girlfriend and her dad. We chose 2 elegance 7 course menu and 1 essence 7 course and 2 wine pairings for the elegance menu. Every course was well crafted and presented. Everything from amuse bouche to petit fours. The cheese soup was delicious and a highlight. The wines were all nice, I like some more then others, the Friuliano was just incredible also the Souvignier Grisw as excellent 👍🏻 ( I don't usually like white wine) The toilets were spotless, the kitchen looked clean and very well organised. Service was prompt in both Polish and English language, but never overbearing. All in all an excellent experience. I don't usually give such praise, but I am a chef and I understand how much work goes into delivering experiences like this. Well done guys

The food was fine but the bill shock I had was traumatic. I had 3 starters entree and a bottle of wine and some steak. Small strips in a tray ended up paying 2000pln - rip off. Be careful when you go there this can’t be right a small restaurant in a residential area in Lublin - not value for money, I’ve paid half this for Michelin stars in London and Warsaw crazy

Great place with superb food and extraordinary service. We came for lunch and loved the experience. Steaks great, side dishes amazing, sauces perfect (especially chimichurri). For fans of modern, sophisticated kitchen and thick wallets (but totally worth it!).

Whilst it's out-of-town it's worth the short trip out. Lovely, creative food, a pleasant atmosphere (albeit very quiet) and reasonable prices for the quality. Pleasant helpful staff. Highly recommend.

In my opinion Kuchnia Otwarta deserves the title of the best restaurant in Lublin, I already went there multiple times and im always left impressed with both the service and food
*The staff also speaks english which is of course a plus

Interesting preparation of the food. The trout we had was perfectly cooked and presented very nicely and the wine was very good but the cheese cake we had for desert was quirky.

Situated in a residential part of Lublin, a meal here is totally worth the short cab ride! With a very gifted chef and team of outstanding cooks working in an open kitchen (the name in Polish), this stylish modern place offers a wide range of excellent dishes that you would expect in any major world city! Great meat, good food, varied choice, exellently prepared, plus an excellent wine list. The service was top notch and most enjoyable, I hope you are lucky to have Patryk look after you - a very knowledgeable and friendly person.

A little getaway in Paris while staying in Lublin.
