Menu was in English and Polish, would not be bad to have it in Slovak, mainly by traditional specialities. A waitress was not nice, without smile. Food was OK, we ordered a duck, soups and menu for kids. What was really nice, was music (folk...band).More
Very nicely flavored soups - especially the Borowikowa. The place has a very good location and has a lot of seating areas. It is very popular and well-known. We will most likely be back and try some other things on the menu.
Bad service. Mixed up order. Rubbery food. Did eat here before, and it was fine. But 50/50 on whether you get good service or not is a joke. Would not recommend
After eating in this place we like Polish cuisine. Oven-baked pork ribs, borscht soup (white!) are really good, and whole baked potatoes with cheese are amazing. The portions are very large. Recommended in Zakopane!
Overall looks the same as hundreds of other highlander style places, this restaurant offers very good regional local cuisine for reasonable prices. Pleasant service, kind waiters, delicious food. Highly recommended trout with baked potato on a side.
We had a great dinner here. Serving was superfast, food was delicious and the portion was big. I think the price compared to this is okay.
Better decoration and environment that food. Food good, but from all the dishes we order nothing amazing. Waitress correct and cordial but not nice, she looked that she wanted us to leave from the restaurant fast. If you have the karta tatranszka, you show it...before you pay and you have 15 % disscount.More
Booked here for New Year’s Eve party 2019/20 and proceedings started with a horse drawn carriage ride around town fuelled by Highlander tea. The crowds cheered us along and we reciprocated with royal waves as the party atmosphere built. Once back at the restaurant we...were treated with several courses of local polish delicacies and copious amounts of alcohol from the all-inclusive bar as the midnight hour approached. Entertainment was provided by the charismatic Highlander band punctuated with very funny games which got everyone involved. The cosmopolitan crowd were then led outside on the stroke of midnight to toast the new year with sparking wine. The party looked to be containing long into the small hours but our family had reached saturation point by then so we slowly retreated from the fun. I can highly recommend this restaurant and their unique New Years party. Thank you so much for making it a special occasion.More

Friendly staff, tasty food. The place is amazing and the authentic musician band was really good. Recommend if you would like traditional Polish hospitality. They have Hungarian menu too.
We were staying opposite this restaurant on the main road in Zakopane. What a lovely atmosphere this had with the local folk band playing and a big fire burning. The food was excellent. I can recommend the duck salad which was huge and very tasty...with a respberty dressing. Pleasant staff and great surrounding.More
First of all, it was early September, a pleasant day, and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view of all the hustle and bustle of downtown Zakopane when we were here, the atmosphere alone was amazing. We started with the mushroom soup....It was not quite what I expected--it was so much better. It was not a creamy (as I expected) mushroom soup, but what a broth--the deep mushroom flavor was predominant, along with pieces of mushrooms and some noodles in the soup. It was truly outstanding--I need to learn how to make this! For my main dish i had chicken cutlet/breast stuffed with mushroom, ham, gravy and topped with shredded cheese--OMG, it was amazing. It'd been deep fried which gave it a nice crust, but inside was tender meat and the most delicious gravy. It was truly excellent. for sides I had some kopytki which were very good, and a side of warm cabbage and dill--it is a dish I make and I love, and this was as good as I make it, very full of flavor, nice and tender cabbage, with just a bit of the zing of some vinegar. Outstanding. Tommy had a smothered chicken breast covered which cheese and a bit of tomato sauce--it was very tender and juicy. Along with that he had oven roasted new potatoes which were very creamy and delicious. This was a great meal with a great view of Zakopane and the mountains around it, good, attentive service, and an excellent Polish meal. Highly recommendedMore
I had a delicious Angus steak while listening to a local folk music band. Veey nice ambiance, fine cooking.
We popped in for lunch whilst on a day trip to Zakopane. Both of us chose to have the duck breast salad and were pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the ingredients and the combination of flavours was a welcome surprise to our taste buds....The staff were ok but needed to be a bit more friendly. The interior is so authentic and we loved the converted sleighsMore
