Food nice. Staff not so.

Came for lunch whilst on a day trip to Zakopane from Krakow. I had the meat pierogi which was lovely but the staff let this place down unfortunately and made me feel quite uncomfortable as a solo traveller. I walked in and the restaurant was quiet, the staff just looked at me blankly and I had to go to them to ask if I could just sit anywhere and if it was table service. The whole time I was there the staff were just gathered in the corner chatting whilst I was sat waiting for my order to be taken/plates cleared/waiting for the bill etc. Felt the staff were rude, unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable so wouldn't recommend even though the food was nice.

Huge disappointment.

We went several times to spend New Year's Eve at Sabała. With an excellent meal and an excellent atmosphere with orchestra and music. But this year, what a disappointment. The entry fee of €90 per person only entitled you to half a bottle of vodka, half of sparkling wine and a few appetizers. No festive meals. You had to order from the menu. I ate ribs with fries for New Year's Eve. Just a traditional general music group and no dance floor. And very unpleasant staff. We were wrong to misread the evening flyer and trust our experience.

Traditional Polish cuisine, meat-heavy and hearty - at fair prices

We stayed in the hotel and had dinner here once. The menu isn't really suitable for vegetarians, but that's the case throughout Zakopane :) All of our dishes were very good, the price was completely reasonable, and the service was fine - we'd be happy to go back!

Never ever again

Absolutely awful visit. Waiting staff pretend they don't see you. Took ages to clean the table, took ages to bring menus. Waitress rude, arrogant busy on their mobile phones or just chatting at the bar... Dont recomend this place as you have so many nice restaurants around where they really want you in their permises

Great spot in the centre of Zakopane for food and drinks

Great spot in the centre of Zakopane for food, would also be good for just drinks. The soups are delicious, refreshing, and reasonably priced. It's great in the sun to get a spot on the balcony that overlooks the main high street. We also had an evening meal here inside and it was very good too serving traditional Polish dishes. There was always good service. They advertise when a kapela is playing in the evenings too for some extra atmosphere too.

Complete disaster service. Slow. If you ask some other waiter for cup or water they pretend like they don’t see you. Food is good enough to eat. Except tomato soup e.g.

Great food and lovely hotel

I had only one full dinner there, it was absolutely delicious! Stuffed cabbage is great, aka Golabki (sorry I do not have the Polish letters). All food in Poland was really good , very fresh and homemade. I cannot remember names all the restaurants I ate in...but food is quite wholesome and delicious!

Sabała is a restaurant located in the center of Zakopane which is capital of Tatry Mountains. Restaurant offering typical regional dishes prepared with great culinary experience. Very original place. Unforgettable

I’m confused with the negative

I’m confused with the negative reviews and can only assume that the management have read those and acted accordingly. Staff we pelite, attentive and always on hand. We have sat on the balcony tonight and listened to live music watching the world go bye. Would I return... absolutely

Avoid, took 15 minutes to even be seen by a waiter , half an hour and only drinks , hope the food doesn’t disappoint. I would not recommend Only one plus, nice surroundings

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant and said to ignore the bad reviews, don't. The food was bad, the service was bad, the English menu has inflated prices, and despite me clearly saying, I'd like to pay in polish złoty the waitress selected pounds on the card reader, which cost me an extra £3.

Fabulous restaurant

Fantastic restaurant, the decoration was fabulous and The price was reasonable. I recomnend triying the grilled sabala or the hungaroan pancake. Overall clean and organized, loved the view!
