Looking for a place to rest a little bit on our way from southern part of Poland to its east ends we landed in Sofa. Despite it is a coffee shop, we managed to have a delicious lunch - basil pesto pasta and vegetable style...buckwheat. Peach homemade ice tea and a meringue completed our choice. We enjoyed precise menu (vege available). Atmosphere, modern warm interior and not only coffee but a selection of lunch choices, make the place a comfortable stop in the city centre.More

How they managed to find avocado, tomatoes, and salad so fresh at the end of Nov, we have no idea, but they did. The resulting breakfast was delicious. That, plus a pot of loose-leaf tea, made this a perfect stop during a visit to Tarnow.

We felt in a ghost town in Tarnow on a gloomy and slightly rainy Saturday evening, so when we crossed the doors into Sofa coffee shop, we felt back into comfort. They have a very good selection of cakes and you can even get a...pint of latte! This was the only place we managed to see with a more modern, cozy environment, and we enjoyed a season special, pink (beetroot) latte with ginger and a pumpkin cheesecake that was good, but didn't really taste anything like pumpkin unfortunately.More

This place feels like home. Comfortable sofas, cosy and nice interior and the scent of coffee inside. The service is good, ladies are extremly polite. There is a variety of food, season menu avaiable. Perfect view from windows to the street. Huge, huge recomendation !

As an Italian coffee addict, I have struggled across Poland to find good coffee (even Warsaw), hand on heart I can tell you this is the best coffee I have had in Poland. Excellent coffee shop, really nice inside. Would not look out of place...in a big city like New York or Milan. Better coffee than you get in Glasgow for sure!! Presentation also first class. We like places which call us inside, and that is just what Sofa did to us. Located in a pedestrian area in downton Tarnow, with a nice terrace, a cosy and colourful interior as well as a buffet stocked with goodies for all tastes, makes...that Sofa attracts a wide variety of customers, from students over business to families. We went in for Sunday lunch and found the place packed. Waiting time for ordering at the counter were acceptable and the service correct and friendly. We had tough time selecting from all the goodies on the menu and on display, but decided on a potato soup, a quiche (comes with a side salad) and a vegetable curry with rice. Seasoning of the soups was too blend for my taste but the quiche and the curry were excellent. Prices are comparable to Krakow, which in my opinion does not reflect the price level for Tarnów. Sofa is for us the place to visit in Tarnow for lunch or for a coffee with desert. We will certainly be back.More

We stumbled on Sofa while visiting friends in Tarnów, part of a longer stay in the Kraków area. Desperate for breakfast and a hot drink, we were spoiled for choice in this restaurant and intrigued in the variety of sumptuous looking food on display. Seated...by a friendly waiter on comfortable, velvety chairs at a solid wooden table, we soon found ourselves commenting on what a fabulous place we had found. We ordered Croque Madame (x2), a sweet breakfast platter and pancakes (see photos) plus tea and coffee. Initially, we though service was slow, despite handy minimum waiting times on the menu, however, once the food arrived, we could understand why it had taken a little longer than expected: it was fabulous! Each meal we ordered was much more than expected and oh so delicious. The pictures do not do the food justice. Each plate of food was delicious and filling- had we time, we would have definitely have returned to sample the delicious cake on offer. I whole-heartedly recommend this fabulous restaurant for anyone lucky enough to visit lovely Tarnów.More

What a pleasant and comfortable place to breakfast in Tarnow . To start with it’s not an American imported change . A real modern polish venue . Well worth a try .

A very pleasant place that was long needed in Tarnów. Very nice decor and good selection of coffee, cakes and food. There needs to be some improvement though that I hope is take onboard: 1. There was four of us and every coffee was not...warm. 2. Two of us had coffee Americano. We asked for milk with the coffee. To our surprise each milk was charged at 2 złoty and the size of the milk was large jugs. What a waste as this much milk was not needed. Also here is no need to charge such a price for milk. 3. Very expensive and similar to what the tourist prices are in Krakow main Rynek/square. Not necessarily a complaint but at these prices they should expect criticism as I have made above regarding the coffee. In principle at these prices the coffee should be perfect. This is why I have given 3 star. The cakes we had were very nice. Hope this makes a difference.More

The interiors are so pretty and eye-catching. I so happened to meet the owner which I was there who was planting the plants outside. A very nice down to earth guy. The food and service were top notch. I loved spending time here and after...touring the town, I even went back for a coffee, before we left the townMore

Wonderful cafe, delicious food, very professional and attentive service. Great selection of smoothies, juices, healthy desserts. We came here every day for breakfast/ lunch - for 3 days- because we loved so much. They are very accommodating- my son is a little bit fussy eater-they...were very nice and helpful.
