This restaurant is fantastic and conveniently located. We ate here 2 nights in a row because it was so delicious. Although the decor is somewhat dated, there is a definite Central European flair and there’s interesting art on the walls. It should stay as it...is because it’s perfect! The service was excellent: Michal (and I believe the others were named Gregor and Barbara). The menu is also available in English and German. We had periogies, beef with horseradish sauce, potato pancakes and beet/cabbage/carrot salad. Some people who commented on TripAdvisor about needing a key for the toilet obviously don’t understand that this is to prevent non-customers from using the toilets. This is a good thing.More

I regularly come here for lunch business meetings, I am never disappointed by the quality of food. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is cooked fresh so it takes a little bit of time especially when the restaurant is busy during lunchtimes. The...prices are very reasonable.More

We were very impressed with this lovely restaurant. It has a cosy, family atmosphere, and was almost completely full for Saturday lunch, so we were made welcome at the bar. The service was efficient and friendly, with lots of insight and advice when needed. The...food was delicious - we had the mushroom soup and zurek, both fabulous, followed by pierogi and potato pancakes, again delicious. As others have recommended, the home-made kwas chlebowy was lovely, and in fact the home-cooked aspect of the food is one of its many selling points. There is nothing I would change about this very friendly restaurant, with its competent and hard-working staff, extensive menu and bar, and high-quality food. Definitely going back.More

Well hidden on the basement of the main building in the centre of the old square in Nowy Sacz Old Town. An incredibly wide range of Pierogi, all very tasty. Pleasant service and very affordable. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in Nowy...Sacz, go here!More

This restaurant is locted in the basement of a grand old building on the main square in old town Novy Sacz. The only way to get down there are the stairs so this place will not work for people with walking handicaps. The atmosphere is...pretty cosy with two smaller dining areas and a lounge area with the bar at the center. The menu is very large and is written in English, German and Polish. Prices are extremely moderate. A large local beer costs under $2 and a main dish with beef was around $6. Portion size is large as well. The food of course is more good country home cooking than haute cuisine but that is to be expected in this part of the world. I had the beet root soup with mushroom dumplings (very good), the boiled beef with mashed potatoes and horseraddish sauce (good) and for dessert the ice cream with fruit and whipped cream (okay). The latter turned out to be actually fruit ice cream with whipped cream so probably it was a small translation error but no big deal. Service is friendly and efficient and the waitresses speak a few words of English making the oberall process quite smooth. Recommended!More

Great pierogi! Especially with meat and sour cabbage. Friendly for Kids. Often crowded. More space for smokers - separate room.

This restaurant never fails to bring you the perfect pierogis. I would say they're the best ones in the entire Poland.

1. The location on the map is wrong 2. Bartender very rude, because we don't speak polish. He said if you're in poland speak polish. I can't wait the next summer season when polish people will come to our seaside.

We went to the Ratuszowa for a meal, we had been there before and had great food. This time we were very disappointed as the Pierogi were awful, the pastry was fine but I had a cabbage and mushroom filling which tasted burnt, all in...all it was awful. IN FUTURE WE WILL GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS.More
