About
Outstanding fine dining restaurant in Kraków with food & wine pairing menu. Albertina Restaurant & Wine is an exceptional spot on the culinary map of Krakow. Located in the very heart of the city, the restaurant lures with unparalleled interior character, carefully arranged menu, and excellent selection of wines from Poland and all over the world. The restaurant is an absolutely unique culinary concept in Krakow, born from passion for wine and the art of cooking. In particular, however, it emerged from the desire to promote food & wine pairing in Krakow. Here, the original dishes by chef Grzegorz Fic present both the beauty and riches of the Polish cuisine, and the versatility of southern Europe

We went here on our recent trip to Krakow. We had the tasting menu with the matched ‘hidden gems,’ wine pairing. The wines were all well chosen and really well explained by the sommelier. The food was mostly delicious, and a nice mixture of calm...dishes and then a couple thrown in that were a bit more adventurous in terms of flavours and textures. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, it’s not cheap and certainly not one to go to if you’re on a budget, but for an occasion where you are happy spending a little more I’d be surprised if there are many as good in Krakow.More

Tried the tasting menu with wine pairing, exquisite food with interesting flavour twists, knowledgeable team members and non intrusive yet attentive service, truly an exceptional experience.

Let’s start with the good. All the fish and seafood served was excellent . Wine pairing was fun and educational. However the overall experience was disappointing - especially for a top rated, expensive restaurant. Some things below may sound petty- however with a small effort,...the experience could have been excellent. 1. We were there for 50 min before we received any food ( including bread). Bread arrived after 50 min- we devoured it, and yet no one asked if we would like more. 2. The sommelier asked us if we wanted a drink as we sat down, but we didn’t see a waiter for 20 min. 3. Despite the fact that the menu says “ let your waiter know about allergies or dietary restrictions “ - I found only two options on the menu that I could eat ( one starter and and one main) there was no flexibility in offering something from the tasting menu nor was I asked what my restrictions were. I was only told that was what there is. 4. My husband ordered 3 courses ( appetizer, first and main) and I ordered an appetizer and main. He was served his appetizer while I waited with no food- this is after an hour at the restaurant and I had asked for an alternative for first. Sitting there watching him eat when I was starving was not pleasant experience. Easily resolved by serving us both our appetizers and I could easily have waited while he ate his first ( or - see #3- they could have offered me a first I could eat. 5. Bread crumbs on our table weren’t cleaned- after 10 min someone caught me cleaning them and came and cleaned- I would expect this to happen automatically and this level of restaurant. 6. At no time did the waiter ask if we are enjoying our dishes. I ordered black angus steak- the price was one of the most expensive on the menu. I received a thin piece of meat filled with fat. I could have complained, but didn’t think it would help. However- had I been asked- I would have said something - see picture below ( I spared the picture with all the grizzly fat cut off to the side) this would be fine for a $15 steak- not a $45 steak . The ironic part came with the bill- see picture- asking for feedback on trip advisor. -More

Very expensive restaurant (especially the wines - the prices are outrageous!) and the value that you get for this price is very low. All the dishes were ok. Nothing more. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all!More

Visited, with my daughter on 20 August 2021. Beautiful and stylish interior, excellent food. Both waiters apparent self assured and willing to assist in our choices. Variety of wines by the glass, offered in three quantities: 25, 75 or 125 ml with corresponding prices. Unpleasant...surprise at the end of the dinner when, although during dinner I estimated the glasses poured at 80-100ml, all glasses of wine were billed at the 125ml rate. When I asked the waiter this was clearly rated as a false estimation by me. My impression is however that staff is instructed to pour seven glasses from a bottle. My advice for future guests (for food and wine are excellent) is either to order a bottle or bring a measurement device.More
