a nice place, in the center of old town, for a quick bite where you have eaten more than enough. A self-service restaurant on the groundfloor where you can choose a plate with two, four or six types of food, max €5. Nice place surrounded...by green, ideal for 2-4 people, less for bigger groups because you have to be lucky to find enough free space.More

Happened on this place by accident when exploring alleyways close to the main square. We were drawn in by all the greenery hanging from the ceiling and quirky paintings and ornaments. What a find! It’s canteen-style where you choose either a 4-piece or 6-piece meal...(4 was plenty for us). You can choose 4 hot, cold or a mixture (including a fruit salad) . It’s plated up for you. We saw some very interesting drinks being made, but we just had a bottled water each. Lunch total - £7.97. Our dishes included hot cabbage rolls, beetroot salad, hot vegetable casserole and cold rice salad. Other options included roast potatoes and tuna salad. Great ambiance.More

Food is ok, but sometimes too dry or too fried. Souses and drinks cost almost the same as the food, so I decided to skip. Still that's a good place when you want to save some money, but eat full.

Visited this restaurant 2 years ago and finally found it again. Lovely ambience and lovely staff. Not a large choice on the menu this time but there was enough for all tastes to choose from. Can highly recommend. The photo is turkey with cranberry and...horseradish sauce. Beautiful.More

Thе self service salad bar in restaurant patio is worth visiting not only for non-expenisve lunch, but for good evening time as well. Candle lights and live piano music among greenery. Was twice, never made it to the "real" restaurant in the cellar. OK choice...of vegetarian and meat salads. Good choice of beverages (teas, juices, etc.) including exotics like parsley wine. Personal recommendation: raspberry tea with orange pie.More

It doesn’t matter if you eat meat, if you’re vegan or vegetarian, if you eat gluten free or without lactose, you will find something to eat there! It is super cheap, everything tastes amazing and the variety of food is huge 🥰 Even the drinks...you can get there are interesting and well made and although it is a little bit hidden, the location really looks artsy and out of a fairytale. We got everything from broccoli salad, to beetroot tarte and mustard sauces. It was super hard to decide what to get, because everything sounded and was so goodMore

Following the hint of a local, we decide to have dinner here. The place is very nice, low lights, lots of plants, it is a sort of buffet, with simple but fresh food, well cooked. It’s not a starred restaurant but it fo not want...to be. Good food at very affordable prices. Worth a try.More

By the great horned god! This place is so good, it made me want to give up meat. It's been my go-to place for vitamins for over a decade, and has never let me down!

We decided to visit Chimera after seeing good reviews for it. After checking out the buffet upstairs we decided it wasn't for us and was about to walk out. One of the staff mentioned that the downstairs was a restaurant with traditional Polish food. Given...it was our first evening in Poland we thought it best to try it! Though we weren't entirely fans of the food, we still enjoyed it. The downstairs was quirky and we liked the general aesthetic, though the place was very quiet on a Saturday evening which might bother some people. The draft alcohol selection was minimal and there appeared to be only 1 member of staff waiting tables which caused delays even when quiet.More

This is a hidden gem in Krakow! Me and my brother went to the sit-down restaurant in the basement, and it is not to be missed! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of what you get! They had menus in multiple languages to...assist guests. The food was DELICIOUS!!!!! WE had the rabbit and the corned beef. Me and my brother loved the drinks, soup, and entrees! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.More

Sitting in the cafe/bar now just chilling after yet more well cooked wholesome food. Found this gem on our first day in Krakow while mooching around the streets... so glad we did this is our 3rd visit. It's like being in a Parisian bar and...the food is amazing VFM . Buffet style hot and cold with 4 choices at 15z ( roughly £3)and 6 choices at 20z (£4) Lovley desserts too and alcohol. Rustic ,which we like, but there is also a restaurant downstairs. Would definitely recommend.More

A lovely, quaint and traditional Polish restaurant. Had the cheese platter and meat platter to share and then soup with bacon, quail egg. All very good. Carafe of red wine was good. Very happy

Loved this place. Visited twice for lunch during a 4 night stay. Great for gluten free as all food labelled. Set up canteen style, for 20 PLN you pick 4servings! All food is home cooked and really tasty. I'd never have chosen any of the...dishes if picking off a menu so got to try out local dishes. You can enjoy a beer, wine or fruit juice with your tasty dinner. Highly recommend!More
