Great Experience with high quality Kielbasa.

My sister and I spent four days in Krakow and were told by some of the locals that we met that we simply had to try the sausage truck in Hala Targowa. Admittedly, when we were first told about the truck we were not thrilled, but once we tried it we loved it! The truck can be found in Hala... read more

Why would people rave about a blue van and grilled sausages? If you have to ask you haven't experienced a national institution in Krakow that locals travel from all over the city to buy. Two old boys who stand roadside and grill the most amazing sausages from 8 pm - 3 am, 7 nights a week. Served with fresh bread... More

We were in Kraków for ten days and we heard about this street sausage. We took the train with some friends and when we arrived we saw a small blue van and two men cooking. We are polish sausage a roll and a drunk. The food was amazing. We came back again the night before we left. Wonderful treat

First of all I wouldn't call the sausages average, they're definitely good sausages but I simply wasn't blown away, hence the 3 circle rating. What definitely does deserve a 4 though is the atmosphere, and a 5 for the authentic and honest experience.

Eating by the blue van was great fun on a cold October night. The food is what it is - solid, polish sausage and bread. But cooked on the grill in the street brings out the best in it. Highly recommended if you happen to be close by

If anyone want to moveback in time - this would be the best place. Tastefull grilled sausage with roll and old school orange soda is a great example of simple street but not so fast food - the queue can be long.

A bit aside from the historic city centre, but worth visiting. Don't come to early - the place (or better say "the blue car") opens at 20:00. A queue of waiting customers builds up pretty quick! While you're waiting, two men are frying sausages ("kielbaski") on open fire and offer them with a bread bun, ketchup and mustard. You can... More

almost every night this little old blue van arrives to Hala Targowa, 2 men packs out and start baking sausages, sausages that are the perfect food in the middle of the night, cheap and tastes brilliant - no wonder you usually experience a queue. as simple as this - every visitor should give it a try

Pretty tasty and kind of cool to eat street food In my first night. Felt like a Polish night out camping with a couple of avuncular dudes who care about making sure the wood fire keeps up and the kielbasa is just right. I prefer my kielbasa to be a tad saltier than what was offered but it was still... More

We had read a number of recommendations to visit the sausage seller who parks his blue van near Hala Targowa Monday - Saturday between 8pm and 3am. We joined a long queue of locals and other tourists about 8.30pm and waited about 20 minutes to purchase a freshly cooked, very tasty, meaty sausage with a bread roll and sweet mustard.... More
