Simple perfection. A kielbasa, cooked at the roadside on fire next to a van. Unbelievable. True Poland.

Possibly one of the best things I ate when in krakow. Their stall is not complicated, but it does not need to be, the only polish you need to know is ‘Kielbasa’, well worth an evening adventure for the best sausage in krakow (in my opinion).

This place is a hidden gem. It's so good I'm almost afraid to post about it, have it discovered, and "ruined" by more tourists. One older gentlemen roasts kielbasa over an open grill in front of a truck. The kielbasa is crisp on the outside, and succulent on the inside, like the meat equivalent of a marshmallow s'more. One word of caution: bring Zloty (local currency) or you will be turned away.

This was undoubtedly the best sausage I have eaten in Poland and among the best ever. The setup is simple. Two blokes and a Russian(?) van with a portable fire pit. One cooks sausages over the wood fire. The other serves them on a paper plate with a fresh bagel. You can have either mild mustard or ketchup. Most had mustard when I was there. You eat standing up at a rustic bench beside the van.

The best kielbasa in Krakow! Locals stand in line to watch this food truck vendor cook his tasty kielbasa on the side of the road using an open fire. Simple and good, with a roll and some sweet mustard on the side, it is a favorite from our visit.

This grilled KIELBASA stand is *OUTSTANDING* as most everyone else has reported … kiełbasa z rożna (keew-bah-sah sroshnah) … crispy on outside, juicy on inside, and best with a touch of mustard on the side Price is now 12 zlotny (US$3) …15 w/ bread roll Hours are a little irregular as I have found them most commonly open 9pm-3am … but open even in summer rainstorms This unsupposing BBQ stand has limited standing room at their tables and most folks simply walk another 10-20 feet to the seats/ledges of the City Market (closed after 5/6pm so all the seating is wide open and NOT a burden to the shop openers) Kielbaski pod hala targowa (“in front of market hall”) Is only 10 minute walk from Old Town Square or 12 zlotny (US$3) Uber ride to hotels off Platny (the leafy park-like ring that circles the old town walls) … Uber drivers can easily navigate to this location ul. Grzegórzecka 14 … … I drop into here after getting massage 200 meters away at CHAIYO Thai Massage (another outstanding small business chain) … 103 Dietla

Found about these guys through our taxi driver, Friday night 9.30pm and a 20 minute wait! It was worth it though. As far as street food goes it was hot, tasty, filling and cheap! 10PLN for sausage and bread bun.

We went here as a late, final treat for my birthday. Although I was stuffed I still really enjoyed the food. This is my favourite sort of street food- simple (with limited menu options), cooked right in front of you and at a terrific price. A real Krakow institution.

My wife took me there on our trip to Krakow, I was sceptical as I’m not a big fun of grilled sausage but the taste was amazing, sausage was very good quality and price was very low. Also the climate of the place is amazing

These guys know what they're doing. They roast 7 kiebasa at a time, so even when the lines get long they have it under control. For 10 PLN (~$2.50 at time of writing) you get a long kielbasa, bread, and mustard. In my opinion the only downside is the bread is not toasted, but I suppose that's preference. I was the only one at the table eating it like a sandwich! The sausages were hot, crunchy, and flavorful. Couldn't have asked for better. There is standing room at the tables nearby and everyone eats together, it is almost family-like. Being only 10 minutes from the Old Town Square, you can easily find ice cream or some dessert to top this off. I'll be coming probably every night.

Great sausages, very tasty. Place is like in communist times, food is served from old polish van Nyska, where besides Sunday’s every day a week between 8pm and 3 am to gentlemen’s serve grilled sausages on the streets with typical polish lemonade. The tradition survived at least over decade. Last time I was there 10 years ago. This is not any new trend but the same people since that time

Heard about these men and their blue van through the forums and had to visit. Luckily it was just round the corner from our hotel between the Square and the Jewish District. Seemingly these men have just parked their van up in front of the Market for 'x' amount of years and just sold Polish Sausages in a bun cooked on an open fire. When we got there there were at least 20 people in front of us but he was cooking 5 at a time over his fire so 10 minutes later I had my sausage on a roll. Nothing fancy but very tasty and happy we did it - worked out around £2 a roll. Don't think their van will last a lot longer tho !

Went here after reading the reviews and had high hopes but was a bit disappointed. The outer casing was really tough and it just tasted like burnt meat and pepper. Flavor wasn't complex. Finished about 3/4 of it and fed the rest to the pigeons.
