About
We are a lively, Japanese sushi bar, using maximum local produce and proposing new taste combinations. We are famous for our vegan options but also for respect towards classics. In accordance with Japanese tradition, we serve the most delicious and affordable sushi, prepared with fresh local and seasonal ingredients. Having that in mind, we do not import tuna or other frozen fish from the Pacific Ocean, instead, we have introduced plenty of local fish (i.e. eel, trout) and vegetables to create our unique style, merging Japanese tradition with Polish creativity. Our sushi served right after being prepared to ensure the best taste and temperature. Be careful we put a lot of our hearts into it. We invite you to our restaurant at 2 Józefa Street in Kraków, Jewish Quarter.

Decided to treat myself with my fiance, so we went for the vegan omakase 11-course experience. We were amazed at the taste, quality, presentation, and freshness - easily the best vegan sushi we've ever had. They have printed out pictures of the freshest seasonal ingredients they're currently using and put them up near the bar, so you know what to expect, depending on the time of the year. For non-vegans, I can only imagine how good the fish options are, considering they manage to turn vegetables into such little works of art.
The service is amazing too, they pay attention to every detail, explain every dish, and recommend proper ways of enjoying it (whether to use soy sauce with it or not, etc.) which is extremely helpful. We got our tea topped up also, got one pot for two, and it lasted for the entire meal, so it's a great deal! We've had vegan ice cream for dessert too, it was delicious. There's some interesting unusual flavours!
We really want to return there and bring some friends, for the omakase experience.

The sushi at this restaurant was absolutely delicious! Every piece was fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. The variety of rolls and nigiri was impressive, and the presentation was stunning. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and very professional. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and provided great recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to any sushi lover. I will definitely be coming back!

Fresh authentic sushi made to order. A place that even Japanese tourists were visiting. Had the 11 course tasting menu and sake tasting. Each course was brought over individually with the waitress explaining exactly what it was and whether it was best to have it sauce with it or not! Very impressed

The sushi was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice. It is quite a small place so it might be a good idea to make a reservation beforehand. We were seated by the bar/preparation station and it was very nice as we could talk with the chef and listen to his suggestions. Everything was made in front of us and, and all of the sushi was very unique, unlike anything I’ve ever had. They also had a very good vegetarian selection.
When we received the bill, we didn’t realize until after we had paid and left the restaurant that we had received the wrong bill and actually ended up paying more than twice the amount we should have. We didn’t end up going back to sort it out as it was our first night in Poland and we weren’t sure if it was a tax rule we just hadn’t understood, and the restaurant was very busy so we didn’t want to disturb anymore. But definitely look up for that and learn from our mistake as that was quite a bummer.

I've been to this youmiko many times and there's few things i learned.
First of all don't order basic sushi there, because then you will not get surprised at all.
Second don't order sets, because you will not get full and you will spend a lot (i recommended take few cakes (they are incredible) add some big roll and 2/3 extras and it should be enough)
Third with pickup come later, because they've been always late. Once with my boyfriend we came 5 minutes before order time. We asked if order is ready because if not we would take a small walk. The chief responde rudely "order is on this time so it will be ready on this time duh?" and started to laugh to his coworkers straight in to our faces. Finally order was 20 min later after time, we didn't get even any word on that. Delays happening always and really as potential of this sushi is high, some stuff kills beauty of it. Sushi master can be good but he is totally out of politeness, when i was in local he often started to sing, talk about himself to other chef and as this local is really small i would hope for a bit of privacy
So on summery. Sushi is amazing but i recommend order straight to your stay :)

A tiny place serving very creative and atypical sushi that never disappoints. I recommend their omakase (tasting menu) which is a mix of fish and vegan courses that is very creative and delicious. Their food is paired only with natural wines and pure sake. Service is great. I always recommend Youmiko to visitors because I know they will never be disappointed! I recommend booking ahead because it’s a very popular place!

This place is absolutely astonishing. I’ve tried all best sushi places in Cracow and Youmiko is the best! Their Sushi is the closest to the original Japan Sushi. It’s creative, rich in different flavors and textures. If you consider eating sushi in Cracow you definitely should give them a try.
After I tried it I have never are any other sushi in Cracow!

Wow! Great sushi place. It was a very good quality food and super good service. Waitress offered advice if needed and she seemed very knowledgeable about menu. Dishes were served quickly.

Perfect place for sushi lovers wanting to experience original and interesting taste of modern fusion sushi and japanese cuisine. Very cosy and great for couples but can easly accomodate larger groups (we were party of five). Everything is done from scratch and if you sit at the bar you can watch your meal being prepared. Lots of vegan choices, excellent wine and sake. Great service. Cool vibe and friendly atmosphere.

Excellent sushi. We have ordered a tasting menu and got surprised by amazing combinations of tastes. Fresh and fermented vegetables served in a beautiful way. Very well composed sushi. The most interesting flavour - fermented tomato. The staff was very helpful and nice. We will definitely come back!

We walked in off the street and managed to perch on the edge of the sushi bar. Once sat down Greg got chatting. He explained the way things ran around there and then proceeded to give us the best sushi we have had. Giving us the chat, explaining everything. How lucky we were to get a seat on the bar.
One tip, book in advance!! This is a place you do not want to miss out on.

I have been living in Krakow for 2 and a half years now and I can say Youmiko is the best sushi place in Krakow by far. The food is delicious, ingredients are fresh and the chefs know their job. My grilfriend and me usualy sit on the bar because we can see how they prepare our food and guys are always open for comunication so I also learned a few things about sushi. I was so happy today when I found out they make deliveryes as well.This is my first review ever but I wanted to write it because they deserved it.

After living in Japan for a year I became a very picky sushi eatr. Youmiko conquered my heart. It's the best sushi in Europe, not only in Krakow or Poland. They are so good, I'm a bit addicted to them.
They are pricey for average person, but totally worth every zlituj.

Great Japanese restaurant, it’s hard to find restaurants who have fresh ingredients and well prepared, and they did not disappoint. The only small issue for me was the space of the place, you get the feeling you are too close to other tables and basically you are eating next to everyone. With out that in mind, whenever I feel like having Japanese food, will definitely go there.

Great local sushi place with vibrant crowd. Choose place at the bar for maximum experience when you can watch sushichefs preparing your sushi. We always take omakase set. Nice choice of natural wines.
