Originally booked for a Friday night, but due to fog and our plane being delayed we had to rebook for Saturday. Katarzyna and Joanne, were so helpful; responded to emails promptly and answered all my questions; great customer service and it didn’t stop there! The staff were really friend throughout our meal and the service was excellent. The food was delicious; my husband and father had the dumplings for starter, pork for main meal and I had the fillet steak and white chocolate cake; all were excellent and cooked to perfection. We had two bottles of wine and I think the bill worked out to be £75 which was fantastic value for money for the quality of food and service. Definitely recommend if visiting Krakow.

We took 2 round dishesh menu and it was just delicious and also price firendly circa 40 Pln for menu. And since we did not wanted the wine included in the dish the staff suggested we can have other drinks. Staff was very nice and polite. The interior and atmosfere was very friendly.

We attended the Old Town restaurant on our final evening in Kraków, 13th February after searching Trip advisor for recommendations and we certainly weren’t disappointed. The layout of the building added to the charm of the place and from entering the staff we’re friendly and very helpful. Wild mushroom soup and Zurek, ‘soup in a bun’ we’re excellent starters and mains of chicken breast and rabbit were delicious and all presented really well. The meal was completed with apple pie and pear tart with creme brûlée. The cost, including drinks was amazingly less than £40. Definitely worth a visit for anyone, we’ll definitely be returning.

I cant believe that I've been to the same restaurant as some of the reviewers here... which is why I'm writing this. Whilst the starter of chicken salad was good. The mushroom soup was very mediocre compared to other places and very salty. The pork main course was served pink... it returned pink after being sent back. The pork and the 'fillet' steak were both chewy and not fine grade meat. The 'fillet' steak.is a different cut to UK fillet steak. The pear tart was fair to middling. Staff are brusque and the environment not as friendly as most Polish places. A very ordinary meal and wouldn't go back. We had much better meals for the same price in the Jewish quarter main square with music.

Knowing how hard it was to get a table last time I booked a week in advance to make sure we could get in. The menu hasn't changed that much although the appetizer has which used to be bread and dripping, but now is bread and a chive cream cheese. Last time we went for the fillet steak at a bargain price of £11 and this time we opted for the pork knuckle and leg of rabbit. Both dishes were equally as delicious and very well presented. It's about £4.50 for their most expensive cocktail. Desserts were rather pricey all things considered but we still managed the milk and white chocolate cake. Delicious. My only gripe is that they seem to segregate the English into one room like a disease. I remember saying this on my last review a couple of years ago but this hasn't changed which is disappointing. Either way we'll be back next time we are in Krakow. If you want to budget beforehand then their menu is available on their website with prices

Wonderful restaurant and service. Not in centre of the old town as you may expect from the name: however, this is why the place is so good... it isn’t a tourist trap! They care about service, quality and presentation of the food. I thought I was in a fancy haute cuisine restaurant; it is only when the bill comes out at a very reasonable price that you realise that it is just a very good restaurant! My only recommendation is that they need a wider choice of vegetarian / vegan dishes. I don’t think they offered any vegetarian mains.

Great start to a three day getaway. Went this restaurant as we had been travelling since 6:00 in the morning and wanted some where nearby for our evening meal. It didn’t disappoint. My wife requires gluten free food and everyone of the main course could be made to suit. She had the salmon and said it was first class. I had rabbit, which I had never tried before, which was a delight. The service and ambience is also highly recommended

I am not a fan of fussy restaurants serving small portions at high prices. So this place was a real gem of a fine. Polite, welcoming, well trained, well organised staff. Straight forward menu with a good selection of options for starters / mains / desserts. A wine list that offered an extensive choice, but the house red (as recommended by others) complemented our meal beautifully. We had 2 ltrs. We chose the marinated herring, beef tartare & soups; the rack of lamb, chicken supreme & beef fillet; the white chocolate cake & pear tart and weren't disappointed with any. A really satisfying evening and at roughly £25 per head, excellent value.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant this week and were not disappointed. I have a peanut allergy and often worry about where I can eat but reading the previous reviews of this restaurant I felt at ease. When we arrived and the waitress was lovely and knew I had an allergy and told me what I couldn’t have on the menu. To start with I had the soup of the day which was white vegetable. It was amazing. For main I had a fillet steak with garlic butter. It was cooked to perfection (medium rare) as asked. The waitress was very accommodating and helpful, she also made sure to check up on us. I would 100% this restaurant as the food was amazing especially to people that have an allergy as the staff are clued up on the menu.

We had 12 people group and table reservation of course. Staff was really friendly and made their job well. We didint notise them while eating and enjoying the meal. Food was tasty and well cooked and our orders came correctly and at one time. Only disappointing thing was noisy room, when full house.

We (two adults and a teenager) visited the Old Town restaurant on our last evening in Kraków, after a recommendation from our hotel and we very much enjoyed our evening. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. We had the soup of the day (cream of mushroom) and the pierogi as starters, followed by the pork loin, the rack of lamb and the fillet of beef. Everything was delicious and very attractively presented. We were quite full but couldn't resist trying a dessert and the pear tart with creme brûlée and cointreau chocolate mousse (with 3 spoons!) was superb. The cost was also very reasonable. Well worth a visit.

I noticed this place when we were travelling to our hotel and as it was our 30th Anniversary it looked a good place to go for our Anniversary meal. It was easy enough to find as was about a 10/15 min walk from our hotel and the food was first class........the steak is a must try dish! Our server Joanna Kulesza was absolutely lovely and was very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu, the restuarant itself has a lovely ambience and even though we had not booked we had a nicely situated table.........I would imagine though that during peak times it may be wiser to book!

Went here for a superb meal. I had duck which was delicious and my wife had chicken, which was moist and tasty. A really great meal and would definitely return. We also used the bar for drinks several times as it was reasonable and friendly, with great staff. A special mention to joanna kulesza for superb waiting on skills and for being so friendly.

Saw good reviews of this place and am so happy i took all my family members here! We were a group of 10 adults and 3 kids under 3 and 1 12year old. All of us went out of there happy and with a full belly. The food was divine. So much attention to detail was given and plates had a modern take on traditional polish dishes. The waitress was cordial and service was excellent, she refilled our wine glasses periodically, wore cotton gloves at all times and was super knowledgeable spokengood english and could guide me in terms of gluten free dishes! Highly recommended !!

We have a really lovely meal here this afternoon. We arrived without a reservation and were greeted by a friendly waitress who seated us and gave us menus. She helped with a wine choice and drinks arrived quickly. We had the polish soup in a bread bowl and sheep cheese starters. Both were excellent and really beautifully presented. The soup wasn’t to our taste but we have no doubt is was properly prepared. For mains we chose the sous vide pork loin and the pork knuckle. The pork knuckle was, well, huge and delicious! Cooked in honey the crackling was beautiful and the meat just fell of the bone - the only downside was it was too much food! The pork loin was just as good, especially the braised cabbage which was served cold with it, I thought this unusually but I guess it’s traditional and it really worked with the dish. We would definitely return here, we didn’t wait for any service, the lady working was very attentive and there the moment we needed anything - but equally not on top of us either. We apologise for not leaving a bigger tip (sorry, we’re still getting used to the exchange rate!!)
