I actually ended up eating here twice. The food is traditional and good with plenty of it. It was dead quiet on both visits but felt that the staff were not attentive on my 2nd visit. I was their only customer and they decided (chef...and waiting staff) to sit around a table and talk away. Maybe somebody should have checked the bathroom as it wasn't that clean. Despite this, I couldn't complain about the food but not sure why people are not visiting them as other restaurants I visited were very busy.More

We called without a booking on Valentine's weekend and, despite the restaurant being quite busy, the waitress found us a table right away. We ordered a sirloin steak and whisky ribs, sides and two local drinks which were brought to our table very quickly, and...the quality of those meals was superb. The prices are extremely attractive too. When we return to Krakow, Sławkowska 1 is on my list for a good evening meal in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.More

The meals are very tasty. Especially ribs and steaks. Nice and friendly staff. No space to change your baby, but they have high chairs. There was limited choice of foods (no salads, no pierogi, lack of cod as from the menu). A bit expensive but...worth it since food is of high quality.More

I am trying to understand why this place has 4,5 stars. I had a dinner with 2 friends. The two of us had the ribs or as they call it "their popular ribs" it was a very small portion of ribs, the meat was dry...and the sauce was like someone baked the ribs and added the sauce on top of it. I have to say that I didn't eat and probably was one of the worst dishes that I have tried the last period. Price: for 3 dishes, two ribs and sth else with pork, 2 soups and 3 beers we paid almost 250 pln. Super expensive without any reason. Quantity&quality: as I mentioned small poor, dry meat and almost zero taste Service: at the beginning was good however in the end we were searching for someone to bring the bill. Sorry but this place made me feel that I don't want to visit it again.More

We were a table of six and thoroughly enjoyed our meal here . I had the Beef cheeks which was melt in the mouth delicious , there was not a meal which wasnt enjoyed by all . Worth booking as it is popular for a...reason .More

Very happy to spend our last night in Krakow at this unpretentious restaurant with excellent food. Service was perfect, timely and pleasant, waitress made suggestions to accommodate our needs. All food was served in a timely manner and each dish was delicious and pleasantly presented....( sorry- forgot to take pictures) Meat was delicious - the strawberry steak wasn’t really spicy, but done to perfection and excellent. The sirloin had very little fat , was cooked to perfection and waitress asked us how we are enjoying each dish ( as opposed to the pretentious Michelin guide restaurant we ate at two nights ago- where I fought with the fat and wasn’t asked once how the food is.) Wine was nice - had a good Malbec. And the price was beyond reasonable. Highly recommend- have vegetarian dishes tooMore

My wife and I had tried quite a few restaurants around the Rynek Glowny area and were less than impressed with the quality of food and service in offer. That all changed however when we discovered Restauracja Sławkowska 1. On our first visit on a...Monday evening we were delighted with the Polish Plate and the Brownie for dessert. We returned the following evening and tried the Goat’s Cheese Burger with Steak Fries and the Sous Vide Pork. Both amazing again. We then decided to take advantage of the 25zl 2 course lunch there the following day and had the lentil and bacon soup and the chicken and potato main course. Again, quality and taste was brilliant. The high quality of food and presentation for such reasonable prices was enough to keep us coming back to Restauracja Slawkowska 1 but the level of service we received on each visit was also absolutely fantastic. A massive thank you to Julia, Patricia and Damian for taking an excellent experience to an even higher level. They are an asset to the restaurant and we can’t wait to return.More

Located in a side street of the busy main square it barely gets any more central than this. The interior of the restaurant is very appealing and the music is not too loud, so you can actually have a conversation. Our waitress was a bit...distanced but not unfriendly. We had the polish plate as well as the bacon burger. Both were good and can therefore be recommended. The fries were not very crispy and would have required a bit more salt. Considering the central location both the price and quality of the food were good. However none of the the dishes were outstanding, therefore I reduced the rating by one point.More

We stopped by and just decided to try it looking at the menu. Amazing vegetarian soup and dumplings... service was lovely and the food fantastic. Definitely worth a stop here just off of the main square.

I visited the Restauracja Slawkowska with some friends. The service was very nice and helpful. The food was excellent, I had the duck breast and I loved it. I strongly recommend a visit here.

It was a quick and spontaneous visit with some ideas about food we can get. But the reality was even more exciting and yummy. Great service and fresh meals, have to try Tatar.

We have been in this restaurant for our last night in Krakow after a very good experience with the local foods . The location if perfect-near the main Square. We ordered the two best steaks: Jack Daniels and strawberry. (79 zlt each ) It was...ok . No more. Also keep in mind that the portions are miniature ( 100-150 gr )and that all ( only steak ) . Those portions are not for hungers….. The service was average and slow without paying attention to basic client’s needs( salt shaker, ashtray …or advising that the portions are so modest…) Unfortunately - I can’t recommend this restaurant ….More
